    • Disclosed is a motion sensor for sensing movement of an object to be monitered, the motion sensor comprising a support disk having a concave upper surface, a ball rotatably put on the support disk, and a piezoelectric element attached on the support disk. If the object attached with the motion sensor inclines or swings, the ball rolls on the support disk to cause the support disk to vibrate. The vibration is taken out as an electric signal by the piezoelectric element and the electric signal informs of the fluctuation occured on the object. An electromagnet, upon energization, prevents rolling movement of the ball.

    • An alarm unit is provided which prevents a theft of a vehicle by producing acoustical alarm whenever a third party opens a door of the vehicle. The unit operates by applying a remote control signal from an external signal emitter to a pickup assembly which is mounted inside the vehicle on a front or a rear glass pane. A control circuit connected to the pickup assembly is then set in its standby mode, and conditions the unit to produce an acoustical alarm if the door is opened during such mode. The standby mode is reset by a second application of the remote control signal to the pickup assembly.

    • The binding reaction between an affinity substance to be measured and a binding partner having binding affinity for the affinity substance is measured based on agglutination reactions. Carrier particles bound to the binding partner are allowed to bind to the affinity substance in an electric field. Evaluation is achieved by counting the level of agglutinated carrier particles using three-dimensional particle information of the particles as an indicator. The use of three-dimensional information as an indicator enables the presence of a biologically specific reactive substance to be detected or measured in a manner that is more convenient and rapid, and has a higher sensitivity than the conventional measurement methods.

    • An antenna assembly for vehicle radio transceiver which is detachably mounted on the car body of an automobile, for example. The assembly includes a rod-shaped antenna, a hollow casing which supports the lower end of the antenna, a permanent magnet for securing the casing to the car body by magnetic attraction, a vibration detector which electrically detects any vibration applied to the casing, and an alarm circuit which operates to produce an alarm in response to detection of vibration applied to the casing or the car body. The vibration detector includes a printed circuit board which is placed on the bottomplate of the casing and which is formed with a first and a second electrode each including a plurality of interdigitated fingers and connected across a d.c. power supply circuit. The vibration detector also includes a conductive spherical body which is placed on the printed circuit board in a rollable manner. When the spherical body moves over the printed circuit board in response to vibration applied to the casing, the circuit connection across the power supply is repeatedly turned on and off to produce a pulse signal, which operates the alarm circuit.
