    • A method for continuously manufacturing a liquid crystal display device, includes a first peeling step that comprises providing a carrier film on which first and second sheet pieces of polarizing films containing first and second pressure-sensitive adhesives, respectively, are formed, and peeling off the first sheet piece from the carrier film by first peeling means; a bonding step that comprises bonding the first sheet piece to a liquid crystal panel with the first pressure-sensitive adhesive interposed therebetween to form a liquid crystal display device; and a removal step that comprises removing the second sheet piece from the carrier film. The removal step includes a falling step comprising peeling off the second sheet piece from the carrier film using second peeling means by inwardly bending the carrier film against the second sheet piece with the second pressure-sensitive adhesive facing upward; and allowing the second sheet piece to fall.

    • Provided is a liquid crystal display device manufacturing method that can prevent a liquid crystal panel from warping into a shape concave to the viewer side in the process of manufacturing the liquid crystal panel by bonding optical members to both surfaces of a liquid crystal cell so that a good display state can be achieved. The method includes: performing a first bonding step S31 including placing an optical member 10A including a polarizing plate in such a manner that the absorption axis of the polarizing plate is kept parallel to the transverse direction of a liquid crystal cell 20, wherein the optical member 10A has a width corresponding to the length of the long side of the liquid crystal cell 20, and bonding the optical member 10A to the backlight-side surface of the liquid crystal cell 20 in a direction along the transverse direction; and then performing a second bonding step S32 including placing an optical member 10B including a polarizing plate in such a manner that the absorption axis of the polarizing plate is kept parallel to the longitudinal direction of the liquid crystal cell 20 and bonding the optical member 10B to the liquid crystal cell 20 by nipping, between a pair of pressing parts, the liquid crystal cell 20 and the optical member 10B being stacked.
