摘要： A developing device unit has a developing device unit main body which rotates about a rotary shaft. Plural developing devices are disposed on the developing device unit main body. The developing devices respectively have developing device main bodies, and developing agent cartridges containing four color developing agents are respectively loaded into the developing device main bodies. The developing agent cartridges are attached/detached in a direction substantially tangential to the rotating direction of the developing device unit main body when a grip section is gripped and operated by the operator in the case where the developing agent cartridges are at a location substantially opposite an image carrier with respect to the rotary shaft.

The image forming apparatus that is shipped with a developing member being fitted to an apparatus main body includes a developer leakage preventing member that prevents leakage of a developer from the developing member, in which the developer leakage preventing member is fitted at an attachment position opposing the developing member in place of a component that is detachably attachable to the apparatus main body at the attachment position.

The invention also relates to the identification information tag that is attached to the cartridge detachably attached to the image informing device and stores identification information for distinguishing the cartridge from other cartridge therein. The above-mentioned identification information tag is characterized by providing the identification key that mechanically engages with the image forming device and distinguishes whether or not the cartridge can be attached. The invention also relates to the image forming device to which the cartridge is attached. When the cartridge is attached the cartridge attachment portion, the image forming device mechanically identifies whether or not the cartridge can be attached by using the identification key provided on the identification information tag attached to the cartridge.
