摘要： Combinational networks provide simultaneous connectivity via networks of different network type between user equipment. For communication sessions on different network types, belonging to the same user equipment, a correlation check is enabled by introduction of an identifier denoted as Combinational Call Indicator (CCI). This CCI identifier in combination with the known Calling Line Identity (CLI) identifier enables user equipment and other and network entities to perform a correlation check between ongoing, or to be established, CScalls and PS-sessions. A user equipment, setting up a related communication session, sets the CCI identifier and provides the CCI identifier during the communication session setup towards the receiving user equipment or network entity, which is enabled to check whether the last received communication session is correlated to the earlier established session due to the presence of the CCI identifier.

In the method proposed said call i s set up by obtaining answering party identification data from a service control point associated with said called party based on said provided called party identification data. Communication is provided through said network between said calling terminal and an answering terminal identified using said answering party identification data. Said answering party identification data is made available to at least one service control point in said network for identifying services associated with said answering terminal. The invention further relates to a switching device for use with said method.

Communication sessions on different network types such as Circuit switched and Packet switched, belonging to the same user equipment can be correlated. In case a communication session on a circuit switched network is halted by a supplementary service e.g. at an event such as acceptance of Call Hold, a communication session on a correlated packet switched network should be halted as well. A user equipment that detects the event sends a halt message to the circuit switched network and a message to the packet switched network or a session state manager node. The session state manager node either forwards the halt-message to the packet switched network, or sends a halt-message to the packet switched network when the packet switched network does not notify that a halt has occurred.

Communication sessions on different network types such as Circuit switched and Packet switched, belonging to the same user equipment can be correlated. 摘要： Combinational networks may provide simultaneous connectivity over networks of different network types between user equipment. A communication session, comprising a circuit switched call and one or more packet switched sessions, may be deployed simultaneously over different network types, in relation to the same user equipment. The circuit switched call and the packet switched session can be correlated, in which case the communication session is regarded as a combinational session. By introducing a number of logical databases that contain actual data on network addresses and communication sessions, a correlation check is deployed applied by a correlation node. The check consists of a number of queries towards said databases or to other network entities, yielding whether the communication session is to be regarded as combinational. The result of the check may e.g. be deployed in an on-line combinational charging system.

摘要： A communication system using a hierarchical modulation scheme and/or a network coding scheme is provided. A relay node included in the communication system may generate a relay packet by applying a network coding scheme to a hierarchically modulated source packet and to a destination packet received from a destination node. The relay packet is transmitted to a source node and a destination node, and the source node and the destination node may extract a desired packet from a relay packet. The communication system also may adaptively determine an optimal communication mode.
