    • An improved touchpad and measurement circuitry for enabling input to a computer or other electronic device. The system includes an X electrode, a Y electrode, a common sensing electrode, and a “water” electrode, wherein these four separate electrodes can be implemented in various physical configurations to obtain the desired effects, wherein moisture and water droplets can be identified and compensated for so as not to interfere with the input of data, wherein noise rejection is achieved by using a time aperture filtering method, wherein an improved scanning technique focuses scanning around an identified input object, wherein an adaptive motion filter responds to the speed and acceleration of an object being tracked, and wherein the measurement circuitry has an increased dynamic range enabling the touchpad to operate with greater tolerances to manufacturing variances.

    • A collapsible folding stand for use with a portable table saw or other object that is attached to the stand and is capable of being manipulated between open and closed positions. In the closed position, the stand is generally vertically oriented with the object attached to a top frame. To open the stand a locking mechanism is released which enables a folding mechanism supporting the top frame to unfold in a manner whereby the rear legs having wheels that separate from forward side struts which contact the ground, with the center of gravity of the object being positioned between the wheels and the front ground contact points so that the weight of the object tends to separate the same and bring the top frame into a generally horizontal position. To move the rolling stand to its closed position, the user needs only to lift the handle and the top frame will then move to its generally vertical closed position.

    • A surgical table including: an upper platform for supporting a patient, the platform having a longitudinal axis extending from a first end of the platform to a second end of the platform; a base support; and, an elevator mechanism including scissor linkage members extending between and connecting the upper platform with the base support for moving the upper platform between a fully collapsed and a fully raised operating position relative to the base support. Each scissor linkage member is independently operable to raise or lower the upper platform either to move the upper platform such that it is parallel to the base support, or to lower or raise the first end of the platform independently of the second end of the platform and vice versa, causing the upper platform to tilt along its longitudinal axis.
