    • According to the invention we provide a process for filling or lining the pores of a porous silicon, silica or alumina substrate with a material which exhibits voltage-dependent index of refraction n comprising providing precursors for the deposited material as a precursor solution, forming a fine mist of droplets of precursor solution and applying the droplets to the porous substrate. The invention provides for the first time porous silicon, silica and alumina substrates having fill fraction at least 60%. Fill fractions of close to 100% can be achieved. When provided with top and bottom electrodes, filled porous silicon, silica and alumina wafers can be used as voltage-dependent photonic devices. The same process can be used for lining trenches in the surface of a silicon substrate, for instance for use in production of microelectronic devices such as random access memories.

Stages of a process are identified that are independent of a continuum of time. A customized magazine edition is prepared for each of the stages. Based upon registration information provided by a subscriber, a check is performed to presently qualify the subscriber for an edition by determining which stage presently corresponds to the subscriber, and then determining whether the subscriber's stage falls within each edition's applicable range of stages. A single subscriber may receive more or less concurrently multiple editions of a magazine from a single subscription. Additionally, in a single sending period, the publisher of the magazine may simultaneously send several different editions of the magazine, each being targeted to individuals in different stages of the process.

    • Molded electrical connection junction boxes and connection inserts for use in existing junction boxes eliminates wire-nuts. Wiring terminals, molded into the box, provide reversible electrical connections between conductor wires and other conductor wires or between conductor wires and wires from electrical devices.
