    • Disclosed is a system and a method for offering a digital video broadcasting service, and for offering multiple sub-services connected with a main service simultaneously with the main service while offering a DVB-H service. The system includes a digital broadcasting station for adding SubScheduleID fields, in which information on at least one sub-service connected with a main service can be respectively stored, to a service information fragment offering information on services, for setting schedule IDentification (ID) values included in a fragment of the sub-service to SubScheduleID values of the SubScheduleID fields, for generating a fragment of the information on the sub-services, for including the generated fragment of the information on the sub-services in Electronic Service Guide (ESG) data, and for transmitting the ESG data; and a digital broadcasting receiving terminal for receiving the ESG data, for checking information on at least one sub-service connected with a selected main service through the fragment of the information on the sub-services if the main service is selected, and for displaying the checked sub-services simultaneously with the main service.

    • A variable antenna apparatus for a mobile terminal. The variable antenna apparatus includes a radiation component that is rotatably coupled with the mobile terminal, a feeding component that is adjacent to a first end part of the radiation component and electrically connected to a radio frequency board of the mobile terminal. A grounding component is adjacent to the first end part of the radiation component and selectively connected to a ground of the radio frequency board as the radiation component is rotated. The antenna apparatus is accommodated in a terminal so that it is possible to conveniently carry the terminal, and the antenna is rotatably protruded from the terminal during a telephone call, such that appropriate antenna gain is achieved.

    • A power saving device for a radio communication terminal reduces current consumption by changing the number of power amplifying stages. A power amplifier in the radio communication terminal includes a first amplifier for high power and a second amplifier for low power. A signal path selector switches an input signal to an input node of the first or second amplifier in response to a switching control signal. An output path selector selects one of output signals from the first and second amplifiers in response to the switching control signal. An RSSI detector detects signal strength of a signal received from a base station. A controller generates the switching control signal of a first state, when the signal strength is low, to enable the signal path selector to switch the input signal to the first amplifier and enable the output path selector to select the output signal of the first amplifier, and generates the switching control signal of a second state, when the signal strength is high, to enable the signal path selector to switch the input signal to the second amplifier and enable the output path selector to select the output signal of the second amplifier. A power supply blocks a first supply voltage to the first amplifier in response to the switching control signal of the second state, and blocks a second supply voltage to the second amplifier in response to the switching control signal of the first state.
