摘要： A centrifuge for separating particulate matter from circulating fluid includes a centrifuge enclosure including a housing and a base joined together so as to define a hollow interior. A rotor is positioned in the hollow interior and is supported by the base in a manner to permit rotary motion of the rotor relative to the centrifuge enclosure. A coalescing filter assembly is secured to the rotor and is constructed and arranged for removing oil aerosol from a blowby gas which is introduced into the centrifuge. A roller bearing, press fit into the centrifuge housing, receives a portion of the coalescing filter assembly.

摘要： A filtration assembly is provided for a fluid flowing in an engine or an apparatus that includes a tank on which a central tube is mounted for interaction with a filtration cartridge including an upper flange and a lower flange between which extends a filtration medium. The central tube is permanently mounted on a bearing member connected to the tank. The central tube bears a first seal and a second seal. The cartridge has a collar forming an extension of the lower flange, the collar being adapted for interaction with the first seal on the central tube in order to ensure tightness between the tube and the cartridge. The second seal is adapted for interaction with the bearing member and/or the collar in order to ensure tightness between the tank and the tube.

摘要： A dual stage filter includes an outer filter with a first media and an inner filter with a second media. A barrier is between the first media and the second media. The barrier directs fluid flow between the first and second media. The barrier creates a flow path between the first and second media, such that a working fluid, which is desired to pass through the first and second media, is directed by the barrier and flows through the second media, and such that another fluid, which is not desired to pass through the second media, is directed by the barrier and separates from the working fluid. Using the barrier, the dual stage filter can employ either or both upward flow and downward flow to achieve efficient fluid separation, for example fuel water separation in an engine fuel filter.
