    • An image forming method and apparatus for forming an image on an image receiving medium with plural coating liquids. A plurality of types of coating liquid are combined to form a recording liquid and extruded as a continuous flow from an array of plural extruding ports which are aligned in a direction substantially orthogonal to a relative movement direction of the image receiving medium. While a mixing ratio of the plural coating liquids is varied based on an image signal, the recording liquid is continuously applied on the image receiving medium to form the image thereon. The high-speed image formation is enabled with a reduced amount of ink to be wasted. Preferably, the plurality of types of the coating liquid are not equally mixed but can be superimposed in the form of a layer in the coating thickness direction to be continuously applied.

    • A recording sheet of a recording material is transported on a conveyer belt to a recording station, and is held to be flat and stationary at the recording station by vacuum suction. A line image projection device projects a line recording light onto the recording sheet along a main scan direction on the basis of image data of each line of an image to print. Synchronously with the projection of the line recording light, projecting position on the recording sheet is shifted perpendicularly to the main scan direction by moving the line image projection device or an optical scanning device. The optical scanning device consists of at least a mirror and a mirror shift mechanism.

    • An ammonia injection device for use in an exhaust gas denitration system comprises ammonia injection pipe units arranged in a multiplicity of stages within an exhaust gas duct and each comprising a horizontal header pipe and a plurality of ammonia injection pipes extending downward from and connected to the header pipe and each having a multiplicity of injection nozzles. The injection pipes have their lower ends inserted in the respective guides upwardly and downwardly movably. The injection nozzles have an opening diameter gradually increasing as the injection pipe extends downward.

    • A method and an apparatus for processing light-sensitive materials for efficiently processing a plurality of light-sensitive materials of different processing times are disclosed. A pair of movable guides and a pair of variable guide members are provided to feed a film for standard processing into a bleach-fixing bath after passing a first coloring development bath, and a film for rapid processing into the bleach-fixing bath after passing a second coloring development bath. Each processing bath and a drying section are variable in speed. In the case where the film for standard processing is processed in advance of the film for rapid processing, the processing rate of a predetermined processing bath is changed to suit the film for rapid processing after the trailing end of the film for standard processing passes through the particular processing bath along the direction in which the films are fed. The film for rapid processing starts to be fed at such a timing that the forward end thereof enters a drying section after the trailing end of the film for standard processing passes through the last feed rollers. As a result, the two types of film can be processed concurrently and efficiently within a short length of time.
