    • A thermal transfer type printer consists of a thermal head, a platen roller, a printing control circuit, a reflection type photo sensor, a printing paper, and a transfer film on which thermal melting ink is painted. One of at least two kinds of printing papers is selectively used. The printing paper and the transfer film are lapped and pressurized between the thermal heat and the platen roller when the printing operation is performed. The intensity of light reflected by the printing paper varies in accordance with the kind of the printing paper which is actually used. The photo sensor emits the light to the printing paper and outputs a detection signal corresponding to the intensity of the light refleted by the printing paper. The printing control circuit changes the heating values of the heating elements within the thermal head based on the detection signal. Thus, the thermal head is heated to an optimum temperature in response to the kind of printing paper.

    • An eye fundus observing and photographing optical system has an objective lens including a main positive lens component and at least one positive lens component provided at that side of the main positive lens component which is adjacent to an eye to be examined, and an illuminating optical system including an apertured mirror disposed obliquely with respect to the optical axis of the objective lens to supply an illuminating light to the fundus of the eye through the objective lens. The reflected image position of the opening portion of the apertured mirror by the lens surface of said at least one positive lens component which is adjacent to the eye is made substantially coincident with a first position whereat the reflected image of the opening portion of the apertured mirror by the lens surface of the main positive lens component which is adjacent to the eye is formed, and the reflected image position of the opening portion of the apertured mirror by the lens surface of said at least one positive lens component which is adjacent to the apertured mirror is made substantially coincident with a second position which is more adjacent to the eye than said first position.

    • The present invention provides a pneumatic tire having a carcass as a skeleton extending in a toroidal shape over a pair of bead portions, a belt including at least one slant layer, and a tread, the belt and the tread being disposed on the outer side in the tire radial direction of a crown portion of the carcass in this order, characterized in that: a ratio BD/BW of radius difference BD between radius at the center portion and radius at an end portion in the tire widthwise direction of the outermost layer of the slant belt layer(s), to a width BW of the outermost layer, is in the range of 0.01 to 0.04 in a section of the tire in the widthwise direction in a state where the tire is assembled with an application rim. A pneumatic tire being excellent in wear resistance performance and having relatively low rolling resistance can be obtained accordingly.
