摘要： A fluorescent lamp includes: a bulb including bent and straight-tube portions having an external tube diameter of 12 to 20 mm and a tube length of 800 to 2500 mm. The straight portions are disposed generally within the same plane through the bent portions. A pair of end portions with electrodes sealed therein form a single discharge path through the straight tube and bent portions. A phosphor layer is formed on the inner face of the bulb, and a discharge medium including mercury is sealed in the bulb. Thermal deterioration of the phosphor layer formed at the straight tube portions is reduced so deterioration of the initial light flux is suppressed, allowing lighting at higher efficiency. With the above configuration, a fluorescent lamp is compact and capable of light with high efficiency, and with improved light output properties. A light fixture uses this fluorescent lamp.

摘要： A fluorescent lamp 1 comprises: a bulb 2 formed by heating bent-portion-formation preordination portions of a single straight-tube-shaped bulb 2a having an external tube diameter of 12 to 20 mm and a tube length of 800 to 2500 mm, forming a plurality of bent portions 2c and straight tube portions 2b adjacent to the bent portions 2c by bending processing, such that the straight portions 2b are disposed generally within the same plane by way of the bent portions 2c, forming in close proximity a pair of end portions 2d and 2d with electrodes 5 and 5 sealed in so as to form a single discharge path through the straight tube portions 2b and bent portions 2c, forming a phosphor layer 4 on the inner face of the bulb, and sealing a discharge medium including mercury; and a base 6 provided on the end portions 2d and 2d of the bulb 2; whereby thermal deterioration of the phosphor layer 4 formed at the straight tube portions 2b is reduced so deterioration of the initial light flux is suppressed, allowing lighting at higher efficiency. According to the above configuration, a fluorescent lamp which is compact and capable of light with high efficiency, and with improved light output properties, and a light fixture using this fluorescent lamp, can be provided.

摘要： A multi-ringed fluorescent lamp includes a multi-ringed bulb, a phosphor layer formed on an inner surface of the bulb, a pair of electrodes and discharge medium with which the bulb is filled. The bulb includes ring bulbs in each of which straight portions and bent portions are placed alternately on a same plane, by bending partially a glass tube having an outside diameter of 12-20 mm into a rectangular shape, so that opposite ends of the tube terminate with the adjacent straight portions. The ring bulbs are placed concentrically on the same plane and connected through a bridge connection portion to form a single discharge path. A gap between adjacent bent portions is larger than a gap between adjacent straight tube portions and has a maximum value of 6-15 mm. The electrodes are provided in opposite ends of the discharge path of the multi-ringed bulb.

Heat-radiating fins may be provided on the other edge side of the radiator and an air-cooling unit may be rotatably provided inside the heat-radiating fins, thereby enabling freely rotation. In one or more examples, a case storing a circuit part is attached to the other edge side of the radiator and a cap is provided to the case. By the air flow from the air-cooling unit, the heat-radiating fins are caused to be a part of the ventilation path to allow for ventilation of the inside of the radiator.

摘要： A compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp (10) which is equivalent to a typical light bulb is provided. The self-ballasted fluorescent lamp (11) induces a cover (14), a ballast (16), an arc tube (18), a base (12) and a globe (17) and formed into a shape whose outline dimensions are nearly identical to the standard dimensions of a typical light bulb. The arc tube (18) is comprised of a plurality of U-shaped bent bulbs (31) which have an inner tube diameter ranging from 6 to 9 mm and arranged in parallel with one another. Having a bulb height ranging form 50 to 60 mm and a discharge path from 400 to 500 mm, the lamp power is 16 to 23 W. An envelope (19) comprising the cover (14)and the globe (17) has a height ranging from 110 to 125 mm including the height of the base (12). As single lead wire (copper-weld) (54) is sealed with the pinch seal portion (45b,45c) at position away from the connecting tube (36) of the bulb (31), the thermal effect to which the copper-weld wire (54) is subject when connecting the tubular bodies (33a, 33b, 33c, 33d) with the connecting tube (36) is reduce and cracks generated on the pinch seal portion (45) which is the sealed point, as a result of the copper-weld wire (54) heated to a high temperature can be prevented and the yield can be improved.
