摘要： An imaging system for use in a medical intervention procedure is disclosed. A first image acquisition system is configured to produce a fluoroscopy image of an anatomical region. A second image acquisition system is configured to produce a 3D model of the anatomical region. An interventional tracking system, which includes a position indicator, is configured to maneuver within the anatomical region. A first anatomical reference system is common to both the first and the second image acquisition systems, and a second anatomical reference system is common to both the first image acquisition system and the interventional tracking system. A processing circuit configured to process executable instructions for registering the second image acquisition system with the first image acquisition system to define a first registration, registering the interventional tracking system with the first image acquisition system to define a second registration, and in response to the first and second registrations, registering the interventional tracking system with the second image acquisition system.

摘要： A system and method of calibrating an imaging system, in which intrinsic parameters relating to the various types of image which can be taken are calibrated in predetermined angular positions of an emitter of radiation, and of a receiver of the radiation. The intrinsic parameters are estimated using a two-dimensional phantom in order to establish a distortion field for a particular angulation, the distortion field for any angulation being calculated by polynomial interpolation of the distortion fields, each established for a control point, a control point being defined by a particular angulation for each axis of rotation of the imaging system, having to be subject to calibration.

摘要： A method is provided for monitoring the radiation dose in a body to be imaged using an X-ray imaging device comprising an X-ray emitting source, a detector, a processing unit and a display. The method comprises exposing the body to be imaged to radiation doses to acquire initial 2D images; computing a 3D model of the body in relation to the initial 2D images using the processing unit; applying a model of the interactions between matter and radiation to the 3D model of the body using the processing unit; calculating, using the processing unit, a dose map of the distribution of the accumulated radiation dose in the 3D model for parameters that define the conditions of X-ray exposure; and displaying the 3D model of the body oriented according to the position of the emitting source with the dose map.

The method comprises acquiring a reference image of the region of interest of the patient; during a pullback of an intravascular sensor in the region of interest, triggering simultaneously the steps of: acquiring a data collected by the sensor characteristic of the region of interest; and acquiring a succession of images of the region of interest associated with the location of the intravascular sensor when acquiring the data, respectively. The method further includes registering the succession of images; associating the location of the intravascular sensor relative to the step of acquiring the data collected by the intravascular sensor; and displaying and positioning the data collected by the intravascular sensor on the reference image in correspondence to the location of the intravascular sensor at the respective step of acquiring the data.

摘要： A method of detection and compensation for respiratory motion improves the registration between a 3D pre-operation image and X-ray images acquired during a cardiac intervention. By synchronizing the X-ray images with the electrocardiogram, the disclosed method thus eliminates the motion related to the heart cycle from these images, thus isolating the contribution of the respiratory motion. From this point, an algorithm is proposed capable of attributing the motion remaining in the radiography images to respiration. The algorithm also enables this motion to be detected and compensated for in order to obtain a registration between 3D cardiac images and radiography images.

摘要： A method of cardiac radiological examination for coronarography comprises the steps of: a) introducing contrast medium simultaneously in the left coronary artery and in the right coronary artery from the aortic root and, in parallel, b) acquiring a sequence of dynamic images of the propagation of the contrast medium in the left and right coronary arteries with a displacement of the image plane, during the acquisition of said images, along a determined trajectory (E28). The contrast medium can be introduced in a cyclic manner during the acquisition of dynamic images, each cycle of introduction corresponding to a phase of closure of the aortic valve in the cardiac rhythm. 3D and 4D images with optimal efficiency can be obtained in the use of contrast medium. An injection device for producing the above cycles is synchronized with the introduction of the contrast medium.

A first image acquisition system of a first modality employing a catheter at an anatomical region of a patient is configured to produce a first image of the anatomical region using fluoroscopy, the first image comprising a set of fluoroscopy projection images. A second image acquisition system of a second different modality is configured to generate a 3D model of the anatomical region. An anatomical reference system is common to both the first and second image acquisition systems. A processing circuit is configured to process executable instructions for registering the 3D model with the fluoroscopy image in response to the common reference system and discernible parameters associated with the catheter in both the first and second image acquisition systems.
