    • An apparatus and method dynamically allocate resources in a communication system. An operation method of a base station (BS) dynamically allocates resources in a network associated with a first communication system and a second communication system. The method includes, in a start position of a subframe within a frame of the second communication system, generating information on a following subframe for the second communication system's subframe existing in the start position, in a frame structure that supports the coexistence of the first communication system and the second communication system. The method also includes inserting the generated information on the following subframe into a control signal transmitted through a predefined region within the second communication system's subframe existing in the start position and transmitting the control signal to a mobile station associated with the second communication system.

    • A method and apparatus is provided for receiving data in a receiver of a communication system. In the receiver, a first calculator calculates a Log Likelihood Ratio (LLR) value of data transmitted from a transmitter, a decoder performs iterative decoding on the transmitted data using the LLR value calculated by the first calculator. A second calculator determines whether there is an error in the decoded data by calculating an error of the data decoded by the decoder. A storage stores an LLR value of the decoded data according to the determination result of the second calculator. An adder adds up the LLR value calculated by the first calculator and the LLR value stored in the storage. A controller performs a control operation such that if the data transmitted from the transmitter is retransmitted data, the decoder performs iterative decoding using the LLR value added by the adder, and if the data transmitted from the transmitter is not retransmitted data, the decoder performs iterative decoding using the LLR value calculated by the first calculator.

    • Disclosed is a method for supporting a handover in a broadband wireless access communication system which includes a mobile subscriber station, a serving base station currently providing service to the mobile subscriber station, and a plurality of adjacent base stations different from the serving base station, in which each of the base stations includes cells using subchannel bands different from each other, the method including establishing a set of base stations which currently provide wireless channels for data transmission/reception to the mobile subscriber station; classifying, by each base station, entire subchannels into a plurality of sets of subchannels; and allocating each of the sets of subchannels obtained by the classification to a PUSC (Partial Usage of Subchannels) subchannel area of each sector, wherein, every base stations included in an active set select an equal number of PUSC subchannels from among a PUSC subchannel area allocated to each of the base stations and allocate the selected PUSC subchannels to the mobile subscriber station, and the mobile subscriber station receives a downlink signal transmitted through each of PUSC subchannel areas and performs a predetermined combining of all signals received from each of the BSs.
