摘要： A method of cleaning equipment such as heat exchangers, evaporators, tanks and other industrial equipment using clean-in-place procedures and a pre-treatment solution prior to the conventional CIP cleaning process. The pre-treatment step improves the degree of softening of the soil, and thus facilitates its removal. The pre-treatment solution can be a strong acidic solution, a strong alkaline solution, or comprise a penetrant. A preferred strong acidic solution is an acid peroxide solution. In some embodiments, the pre-treatment may include no strong alkali or acid ingredient; rather, the penetrant provides acceptable levels of pre-treatment.

In at least one example, a composition for use in removing and preventing buildup of blackwater deposits in blackwater collection/treatment systems. The composition includes in the range of about 2 to about 15 wt. % of acidic solubilizing agent; in the range of about 0.2 to about 8 wt. % of wetting agent; in the range of about 0 to about 1 wt. % corrosion inhibitor; and a solvent/carrier medium. Another aspect is a concentrated composition to be diluted before or during use, the concentrated composition comprising in the range of about 10 to about 70 wt. % of acidic solubilizing agent; in the range of about 1 to about 40 wt. % of wetting agent; in the range of about 0 to about 5 wt. % corrosion inhibitor; and a solvent. In another example, a method for removing and preventing buildup of blackwater deposit in a blackwater collection system. In at least one example, the method includes: contacting at least a portion of the blackwater collection system with the blackwater deposit treatment composition above; and removing at least a portion of the treatment composition from the portion of the blackwater collection system.

摘要： Odors can arise from an enclosed waste processing system designed to convert solid waste into an aqueous pulp and extract a solid phase and an aqueous phase from the waste. The odors are the result of anaerobic portions of the system in which anaerobic microorganisms convert waste including fatty soils into volatile odor components including low molecular weight carboxylic acids. The action of these microorganisms can be controlled by maintaining the pH, of the aqueous phase common to all portions of the system, at above a pre-selected alkaline pH. Such a pH can be maintained by dosing the aqueous phase in the system with an appropriate amount of one or more alkalinity sources on a timely basis.

The dispenser (100) is a solid rinse aid dissolving unit that is preferably a gravity feed device dispensing solutions to the solution tank (40) located within the warewash machine (10). The dispenser (100) is fed with hot tap water or final rinse water to dissolve the solid rinse aid.

摘要： Solid cast detergent-containing articles are produced for use in automatic washing machines. A liquid detergent composition is cast into a mold where it is allowed to solidify. The solid cast detergent, surrounded on all but its upper surface by the mold, is used in automatic washing machines having a dispensing device designed to dispense a liquid aqueous detergent formed from the solid cast detergent using an impinging liquid spray. The liquid aqueous detergent flows out of the dispensing device generally simultaneously with its formation in the dispenser. The cast detergent composition includes an alkaline hydratable chemical and optionally further includes one or more preformed cores or plugs comprising an available chlorine source, a defoamer, or the like.
