摘要： A reel is provided for the winding and unwinding of wire or the like. The reel includes a cylindrical hub having a pair of flanges, one at each end of the hub. The hub includes an inner cylindrical wall defining a central hollow bore through the center of the reel. An outer cylindrical wall is provided concentrically around the inner wall and forms a barrel surface for the winding of the coiled wire (or the like) thereon. The flanges serve to protect the wire wound on the barrel surface. A frusto-conical or tapered wall is provided at opposite ends of the reel to connect the inner wall of the hub to the radially projecting flange. The frusto-conical wall includes at least one opening or window therein, providing a handle for lifting the reel from a package or carton. The reel may also be provided with a series of concentric cylindrical support ribs within the hollow portion defined by the flanges. Other structural support members may also be provided by the internal structures of the reel.

摘要： Method and apparatus for steam reforming a sulfur-containing hydrocarbon fuel, such as a diesel hydrocarbon fuel. The apparatus includes a desulphurization unit, a pre-reformer, and a steam reforming unit. A carbon dioxide fixing material is present in the steam reforming catalyst bed to fix carbon dioxide that is produced by the reforming reaction. The carbon dioxide fixing material is an alkaline earth oxide, a doped alkaline earth oxide or a mixture thereof. The fixing of carbon dioxide within the steam reforming catalyst bed creates an equilibrium shift in the steam reforming reaction to produce more hydrogen and less carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide fixed in the catalyst bed can be released by heating the carbon dioxide fixing material or catalyst bed to a temperature in excess of the steam reforming temperature. Fuel processors having multiple catalyst beds and methods and apparatus for generating electricity utilizing such fuel processors in conjunction with a fuel cell are also disclosed.

The overcap comprises a fixed portion and a movable portion. The movable portion is connected to the fixed portion along a hinge such that the movable portion can be lifted upward, pivoting about the hinge, while the fixed portion remains affixed on the container. The fixed portion of the overcap is structured and arranged for engaging three of the four corners of the container, the hinge extending generally diagonally across the top panel, and the movable portion being structured and arranged to engage and disengage the fourth corner of the container.

摘要： A security system senses intrusions into a shipping container through the opening of doors, cutting an opening, or removing the doors from their hinges. Intrusion information is transmitted to a remote receiver without interrogation, thereby reducing power consumption. Sensing is accomplished by employing a range-gated micro-impulse radar (“RGR”) that generates microwave pulses that bounce around the interior of the container. The RGR includes a range gate that enables measuring reflected signals during the time gate period that is set for the time it takes a pulse to propagate a maximum distance within the container and reflect back. A direct current signal level is produced that represents the average reflected signal level within the container, and a Doppler shift measurement is made that represents motion inside the container. The signals are conveyed to the transmitter for conveyance to the remote receiver.

摘要： A container for refrigerated dough or other expandable products and a condiment cup therein for containing icing and the like includes the following construction. The container has an elongate cylindrical body with an interior wall of a predetermined diameter and end closures. The condiment cup is of a flexible plastic generally cup-shaped construction having a generally cylindrical side wall closed at one end by a dome-shaped convex end and open at the other end. The cylindrical side wall has an outside diameter only slightly less than the diameter of the container interior wall so as to provide a loose friction fit when the condiment cup is positioned within the container cylindrical body portion. The condiment cup is filled with condiment and positioned within the container at one end of the cylindrical body portion with the open end of the cup facing the end closure at the one end. The container is filled with refrigerated dough or other expandable product, so that, as the product expands within the container, the product will push against the dome-shaped convex end of the condiment cup for flexing the cup end inwardly to cause flexing of the cup side wall outwardly to provide a tighter friction fit with the container interior wall to seal the condiments in the cup from the product in the container.
