    • In a video camera, air outlet holes and air inlet holes are disposed in a panel-facing surface of a camera body. A duct is disposed inside the camera body and guides the air taken in through the air inlet holes to the air outlet holes. A first heat sink is so arranged as to extend from an image sensor into the duct, and the first heat sink releases the heat generated by the image sensor into the duct. A liquid crystal panel unit is movably disposed between a first position in which a first face of the liquid crystal panel unit including a display screen of a liquid crystal panel faces the panel-facing surface of the camera body and a second position in which a second face faces the panel-facing surface. When the liquid crystal panel unit is in the first position, the first face is so formed as to cover the air outlet holes and the air inlet holes. The second surface of the liquid crystal panel unit is formed so that the air outlet holes and the air inlet holes are open to the exterior when the liquid crystal panel unit is in the second position.

    • A technique for testability of a semiconductor integrated circuit is disclosed. In a first step, a fault simulation is conducted based on a predetermined test pattern to discriminate detectable faults and undetectable faults from each other. In a second step, undetected faults are listed. In a third step, the test conditions for the undetected faults are determined. In a fourth step, a test pattern most likely to meet the test conditions is selected from among a plurality of test patterns. In a fifth step, the registers associated with the undetected faults are replaced with scan registers, while at the same time connecting the scan registers in a scan chain to thereby make up a modified circuit. In a sixth step, a fault simulation is conducted by switching to the test condition at the timing corresponding to the undetected faults using the test pattern for the modified circuit.

    • A hinge apparatus comprises a rotation body and a fixed body. The rotation body includes a frame which has a side portion orthogonal to a rotation axis and having a first through hole and a cut portion, and a longer side portion having an extending portion and extending along the rotation axis. The extending portion is engaged with the cut portion and has a protruding portion protruding outwardly of the side portion. The fixed body includes: a bracket having first and second side portions, a superimposed portion extending from the second side portion to be overlapped with the first side portion, and an opening passing through the first side portion and the superimposed portion; and a stud inserted through the opening and rotatably securing the frame to the bracket. The protruding portion is contacted with the superimposed portion at a predetermined angle to regulate the rotation of the rotation body.

    • The present invention provides an information processing appliance that is able to prevent a recording medium thereof from experiencing an excessive impact shock, thereby acquiring a high reliability. In the information processing appliance, a cartridge containing a recording medium is inserted into or removed out from a housing portion for housing the cartridge. The housing portion is separably provided inside the body unit and is supported in a floating manner or a rather rigid manner against the body unit by a buffer member disposed between the housing portion and the body unit. The information processing appliance further comprises a lock mechanism that supports the housing portion either in the floating manner when the cartridge is mounted therein or in the rather rigid manner when the cartridge is removed therefrom.
