    • A sports bottle cap having a pressure differential valve is provided which allows water to flow out through the bottle cap only when the bottle is inverted and squeezed or alternatively a straw may be threaded through the pressure differential valve, thereby deactivating it, and attached to the bottle cap allowing the user to draw liquid from the bottle through the straw. In operation the bottle cap of the present invention allows the user to dispense fluid from within the bottle in two different ways. The first manner of use allows liquid to be dispensed only when the bottle containing the liquid is inverted and squeezed. Squeezing causes the pressure to increase on the inside of the bottle thereby causing the pressure differential valve to open and liquid to exit; however, when the bottle is not squeezed the pressure differential valve remains in the closed position sealing bottle. The second manner of use allows the user to convert bottle cap for use as a sports mug having a straw-like tube to draw the liquid out of bottle. This configuration is accomplished simply by threading a straw through pressure differential valve thereby disengaging the pressure differential valve, and attaching the first end of the straw to a straw receptor located within the bottle cap. The bottle cap is then attached to the bottle and the user can suck liquid out of the bottle.

    • Embodiments of a portable water filter are described and shown, each embodiment being adapted to fit and seal into a bottle neck without modification of, or attachment to, the bottle or its cap or other closure. The filter has a flange system that rests on the lip of the bottle neck and that has slanted or curved surfaces to seal with the neck and the bottle cap when the cap is screwed onto the bottle. The filter further includes a connector for attachment to a straw for an alternative use of the filter in a cup or mug. The filter water inlets are preferably in the lower region of the filter housing, to facilitate suctioning of the liquid from the bottom of the cup or mug even when the liquid level is low. Additional liquid inlet(s) may be added to the upper region of the filter housing, preferably sized and located to drain the last, small amount of liquid in the neck of a bottle when the bottle is inverted, without sucking in enough air in the mug-use application to interfere with adequate draining of the mug or cup.

    • An improved agitator for a coin hopper having a rotatable pinwheel includes a hub mounted to the pinwheel and a plurality of elongated, longitudinally resilient blades projecting radially outward from the hub. The hub is preferably made of neoprene or other flexible material, and is mounted to the center of the plate so that the two rotate together. The blades are preferably made of spring steel or similar material and are not themselves attached to the pinwheel, but are embedded in the hub. The blades have hard, low friction surfaces, and longitudinally yield upon impact with the coins in the hopper and act to stir the coins and urge them into coin receiving slots on the pinwheel.
