摘要： A vertically alignment mode liquid crystal display device having an improved viewing angle characteristic is disclosed. The disclosed liquid crystal display device uses a liquid crystal having a negative anisotropic dielectric constant, and orientations of the liquid crystal are vertical to substrates when no voltage being applied, almost horizontal when a predetermined voltage is applied, and oblique when an intermediate voltage is applied. At least one of the substrates includes a structure as domain regulating means, and inclined surfaces of the structure operate as a trigger to regulate azimuths of the oblique orientations of the liquid crystal when the intermediate voltage is applied.

摘要： A LCD panel is disclosed that provides improved performance of the frame area that surrounds the panel's display area. The frame area includes a transparent substrate, and color filters provided side-by-side on the transparent substrate, each of the color filters filtering one of at least two colors. The LCD panel is further constituted by a first electrode that counters the color filters, a second electrode that counters the first electrode, and liquid crystal that is inserted between the electrodes. Display spots are suppressed and the frame can appear in a desired color when the panel is in operation.

摘要： In a liquid crystal display device, the pixel electrodes and the projection pattern are formed on the TFT substrate side, and surfaces of the pixel electrodes and the projection pattern are covered with a vertical alignment film. Opposing electrode and a projection pattern are formed on the CF substrate side, and surfaces of the opposing electrode and the projection pattern are covered with a vertical alignment film. The TFT substrate and the CF substrate are arranged such that top end portions of the projection pattern on the CF substrate are brought into contact with the TFT substrate. Liquid crystal having negative dielectric anisotropy is sealed between the TFT and CF substrates. Accordingly, the step of scattering the spacers can be omitted, change in the cell thickness can be prevented, and the good display quality can be achieved.

The engine compartment cover serves to enclose the engine and demarcate an engine compartment and is capable of suppressing the noise at the operator's ear level caused by the engine operating noise passing through the engine compartment cover as far as possible, whereby the level of quietness in the operator cab can be improved. In the engine compartment cover for a work machine, the hood has a box-type structure including an exterior top plate, side plates surrounding the whole perimeter of the exterior top plate, and a bottom plate opposed to the exterior top plate, and air inlet holes are provided in the side plates only, whilst an air outlet hole is provided in the bottom plate only, in such a manner that external air is drawn into the interior of the hood via the air inlet holes and air is introduced into the engine compartment via the air outlet hole.
