摘要： A lace lock system. The lace lock system is mountable to footwear and includes a latch having an aperture that receives a lace guide and is affixed to a cam. The lace guide is pivotally affixed to the cam and has a channel that receives a lace through the aperture. The lace lock is designed to transition between an open position and a locked position. In the locked position, the lace is tensioned to align a distal end of the cam within the channel of the lace guide, such that the distal end of the cam frictionally bears against the lace disposed in the channel. In the open position, the latch is rotated towards a first end of the lock, causing the distal end of the cam to misalign with the channel of the lace guide and release tension of the lace disposed in the channel.

摘要： An intraoral surgical stapling apparatus. The intraoral surgical stapling apparatus includes a handle assembly having a trigger for actuation of a surgical staple. A barrel section extends outward from the handle assembly and includes a staple firing mechanism for loading and advancing the surgical staple in a loading position towards a forward end of the intraoral surgical stapling apparatus. A fixed body forms a channel to receive an advancing unit. The advancing unit is connected to the trigger such that a sliding plate positioned within the channel slides forward and backward by actuating the trigger. A pair of splay arms have a forward end opposite a rearward end. The forward end engages the staple and cycles through a between the loading position, a forward advancing position, and a staple open biasing position. The engaged staple is biased and configured to be applied to a tissue site.

摘要： The footwear includes a sole, a plurality of massage units, and a controller. The sole provides a support to the underside of a user's foot when the user is wearing the footwear. The massage units each include a channel, a plunger, a spring, and an actuator. The plunger is disposed within the channel and may slide within it linearly. The plunger has a shaft which terminates in an applicator, the applicator being round and configured to provide pressure to the user's foot. The spring is configured to maintain the plunger within a contact-position when at rest. This contact-position occurs when the plunger is maximally distal to the spring. The actuator is able to draw the plunger against the spring and release the plunger in repetition when energized, enacting a massaging action. The controller is able to selectively engage the actuators.

摘要： A glucose meter with an adjustable alarm and an integral wireless transmitter to send a user a reminder to take a second glucose level measurement. The glucose meter with an alarm features a housing with a display and input buttons connected to a microprocessor. The housing has a slot designed to accept a strip with a sample of blood. A glucose level sensor within the housing is adapted to measure the glucose level of the blood sample. After the measurement is taken, an alarm is set to activate after a predetermined period of the time, reminding a user to take a second glucose level measurement. The alarm can be an auditory or a vibrating alarm. Additionally, the wireless transmitter is designed to send an email or text message to a user as a reminder to take a second glucose level measurement.

摘要： A garage door threshold warmer is provided. The garage door threshold warmer includes an electric heating element positioned within a seal that is securable at the lower end of a garage door. The heating element is designed to prevent the seal from freezing to the garage floor in cold climates, thus minimizing damage to the garage door and maintaining an effective seal against snow entry. The heating element is in electronic communication with a power source via a wire system that includes mating first and second connectors for ease of disconnection and reconnection as the garage door moves between an open and closed position, respectively. This automatic disconnection and reconnection mechanism engages as the garage door opens and closes to ensure that the heating element is only activated when the door is closed.
