摘要： A novel enclosure is used to prevent health-care-associated infections caused by contamination of devices such as cellular telephones, laptops, tablet computers, purses, and briefcases. Such a device is placed into the enclosure and is carried into a disinfected or clean environment, such as an operating room. The enclosure prevents infectious agents or other contaminants on the surface of the device from contaminating the clean environment. The enclosure also protects the environments outside the operating room from contaminants within the operating room. The enclosure is inexpensively manufactured and disposable. The enclosure may include an effective amount of antibacterial, antifungal, and/or antiviral compounds. The enclosure may be used in the residence of an individual with a compromised immune system. The enclosure may be used to bring a device into and out of a home or room of an individual who is extremely neat or is inflicted with an obsessive-compulsive disorder.

In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a switch that selectively enables or disables precharge current to a high voltage circuit based on a switch control signal. The apparatus also includes a comparison circuit that compares a scaled version of a circuit voltage to a reference voltage to generate the switch control signal. In one embodiment, the switch control signal is generated to enable the precharge current when the scaled version of the circuit voltage is greater than the reference voltage.

摘要： A system comprises a rod holder, an input device, a driving device, and a controller. The rod holder holds one or more fishing rods. The driving device is coupled to drive the rod holder. The controller controls the driving device to move the rod holder based on stored rod movement information, based on a random generated movement sequence, or based on real time user input. In operation, the input device receives rod movement information that indicates at least one characteristic of rod movement, including position, timing, direction, angle, or speed. During recording of a jigging sequence, the controller stores rod movement information as stored rod movement information. During replaying of a jigging sequence, the controller controls the rod holder based on the stored rod movement information. The sequence is repeated until the user stops the replaying. The system is optionally controlled to perform a random jigging sequence.

摘要： A carbon processing system comprises an air mover and a multi-stage reactor. The multi-stage reactor processes ambient air and generates carbon dioxide and generates exhausted gas released to ambient air. In operation, air contacts the base solution via the air mover. The air reacts with the base solution thereby generating a base solution having carbon dioxide and generating exhaust (absorption reaction). Next, the exhaust is released from the reactor. Next, heat is applied to the base solution having carbon dioxide thereby generating carbon dioxide and generating a base solution without carbon dioxide (desorption reaction). The base solution without carbon dioxide generated after applying heat is reusable in processing new air. The absorption reaction and desorption reaction are reversible reactions resulting in regeneration of the base solution into its form prior to contact with the air yielding high scalability and less processing volume as required by many conventional carbon processing techniques.

摘要： A system comprises a faceted structure imaging assembly and a faceted structure image analyzer. The system is configured to determine carat weight of a gemstone while in a mounted setting. In a first mode, the imaging assembly obtains a first image of a top gemstone surface. The image analyzer uses the first image to obtain at least one gemstone dimension, such as table and diameter dimensions. In a second mode, the imaging assembly obtains a second image of the top gemstone surface while a colored light pattern is reflected onto the gemstone. The image analyzer uses the second image to obtain at least one other gemstone dimension, such as crown and pavilion angles. The image analyzer uses the dimensions obtained from the first and second images to determine weight information of the gemstone. The system quickly determines gemstone weight reliably and consistently without skilled gemologists or removal from the setting.

摘要： A layered-keyframe-based, presentation recording service provides for presentation recording sessions, the recording of presentations, and the creation of presentation videos. A user records with the user's device the document pages and page annotations, as well audio and video streams, that are presented using the device during the course of a presentation recording session.
