    • An automatic pawl winding mechanism for a watch movement has a rotor solidly attached to a rotor wheel and oscillating about the axis of a rotor pivot, a pawl wheel to which an oscillating motion of rotor is transmitted by the rotor wheel being pivoted about the axis of a pawl wheel shaft, at least one pawl being eccentrically attached to the pawl wheel shaft, and an automatic wheel cooperating with the pawl or pawls. The oscillating motion of the rotor wheel is thus transformed into a unidirectional rotary motion of the automatic wheel, and this rotary motion is transmitted to a ratchet wheel via a transformation gear train. The rotor, the gear train from the rotor with rotor wheel to the pawl wheel with the pawl or pawls is mounted on an independent rotor bridge while no other organ of the mechanism is mounted on this bridge.

    • To provide a portable watch enabling component exchange around a crown when the screw lock capability is reduced. A case band is provided with a pipe-attachment hole opening toward an intracase-band plane and an extracase-band plane, and a pin-receiving groove opening toward this hole, the intracase-band plane, and the extracase-band plane. A winding stem pipe is provided with an intracase-band end section to be arranged inside of the case band including an engagement groove, an extracase-band end section to be arranged outside of the case band including a male screw section to be screwed together with a crown in a removal manner, and a pin-receiving groove opening toward the outer rim plane of the pipe and facing to a receiving groove. The pipe is playably inserted into the hole in a removable manner from the outside of the case band. A rotation-stop pin for preventing the pipe from rotating is placed across both receiving grooves. A pipe stopper for preventing the pipe from being disengaged is engaged to the engagement groove in a removable manner. With such a structure, the crown and the pipe can be separately exchanged.

    • An apparatus provides accented vibrations to an object and has a means for elastically suspending said object and at least one disengaging displacement means. The application of current interest is for winding a self-winding mechanical wrist watch during intervals when not worn on the wrist so it will not run down and stop. The apparatus has an enclosure and a holder to accept and position a self-winding watch which is periodically set in motion to simulate wrist action. The holder, within the enclosure, is mounted on springs and driven by a low rpm gearmotor which alternately pushes and releases; then pulls and releases so as to give a sharp acceleration in two or more directions. This action increases effectiveness of the apparatus in winding watches in different positions. The motion produced has other applications such as in testing other motion sensitive equipment or in producing unique patterns of mixing.
