    • A gun assembly comprising a cylindrical gun action mated within a generally semi-cylindrical cavity of a synthetic gunstock to thereby define a specialized interference fit between the gunstock and the gun action is disclosed herein. The innovative gun assembly comprises at least three zones of interference fit established by assembling together a synthetic gunstock that includes a specialized receiving cavity generally in the form of a semi-cylinder and defined by a first radius R1 (correspond to zone surfaces) and a second radius R2 (corresponds to relief surfaces); and a metallic gun action generally in the form of a cylinder defined by a third radius R3. In order to achieve the specialized interference fit, the length of the third radius is selected to be slightly greater than the length of the first radius.

    • A fixing mechanism includes a mounting plate of a small arm accessory, a fixing member and an adjusting member. The mounting plate has a surface that faces the small arm when the mounting plate is fixed to the small arm. A first direction is defined as normal to the surface. The fixing member extends from the surface of the mounting plate in the first direction. The fixing member includes an aperture defined therein having an axis that defines a second direction different from the first direction. The adjusting member provides a fixing force to fix the small arm accessory to the small arm when inserted into the aperture of the fixing member.

    • An adapter is provided with a rail having one end secured to a gunstock; a groove structure including a bottom groove, a forward socket, a transverse channel through the socket, a pin hole through the channel, and a bottom limit member; a lever pivotably secured to the groove structure; and a sliding member in both the channel and the socket and including a projection at one end, a shoulder adjacent to the projection, a receptacle at an other end, a spring in the receptacle, and a slot perpendicular to the receptacle and communicating therewith. The pin is through the pin hole and the slot to anchor the spring between the pin and the receptacle. In a locked state, the shoulder is in the socket to lock the rail in the groove, the other end of the sliding member is projected, and the projection is retracted into the channel.

    • An expandable linear explosive shape charge positioner for severing tubular members whereby a plurality of arc-shaped charge chambers are positioned along the same plane and adjacent to the interior walls of the tubular members and detonated to sever the tubular members. The invention is placed within a tubular member and includes a remotely extendible framework having remotely detonable linear explosive shape charges enclosed therein. When in the collapsed position, the apparatus passes through constrictions within the tubular members. When extended, the framework is positioned transversely to the axis of the tubular member with the shape charges positioned adjacent the interior walls thereof. Shape charge chambers with angled ends are presented to provide overlap when the device is fully extended to better ensure complete separation of the tubular member at the discontinuities of the shape charges about the plane of severance.
