摘要： A system and method for a multi-beam multi-function active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar operation receives radar commands from individual aircraft systems and segments a single AESA fixed panel into a plurality of subarrays to carry out each individual function commanded by the individual aircraft system. Dependent on aircraft status and phase of flight, the subarrays are sized based on desired radar function at the specific phase of flight and specific threat associated with the phase. The system dynamically shifts the subarray size, beam characteristics, power settings, and function to enable multiple function of a cost effective single AESA panel.

摘要： An embodiment of the present invention delineates a method for relaying information between a first transceiver and a second provided transceiver. The method comprises generating a signal for transmission from the first transceiver to the second provided transceiver. The method also modulates the signal with a first data pattern, the first data pattern comprising aircraft state data. The method also modulates the signal with a second data pattern, the second data pattern comprising information other than aircraft state data. The method also transmits the signal including both the first data pattern and the second data pattern from the first transceiver to the second provided transceiver. 摘要： A system for augmenting 360-degree aspect monostatic radar cross section of an aircraft. The system may comprise a pair of pods mountable on opposing wing tips of an aircraft and each having a pod housing with an elongate body tapering forwardly to a nose and rearwardly to a tail. Each pod may comprise a forward SDL disposed within the nose, a rear SDL disposed within the tail, and a pair of mid-body SDLs disposed within a mid-section of the pod housing. The SDLs may be arranged within the pods to reflect radiation and provide coverage around the aircraft over a region of about 360 azimuth degrees. Each SDL may comprise radar absorbing material located on an interior reflective surface, and portions of the elongate bodies may be constructed of radome material. The SDLs may be Luneburg lens having diameters of at least approximately 8-inches.

Making first comparisons of the spatial descriptor of the further object against the respective spatial descriptors of each of the plurality of objects stored in the data structure to determine whether each of these first comparisons indicates a possible collision risk. Based upon each of the first comparisons, if the first comparison indicates a possible collision risk, determining a result of a close approach determination between the respective trajectory information of the respective one of the plurality of objects and the trajectory information of the further object, and taking an action based on result of the close approach determination satisfying a predetermined threshold.

摘要： An embodiment of an antenna includes first and second transmission lines, first antenna elements, and second antenna elements. The first transmission line is configured to guide a first signal such that the first signal has a characteristic of a first value, and the second transmission line is configured to guide a second signal such that the second signal has the same characteristic but of a second value that is different than the first value. The first antenna elements are each disposed adjacent to the first transmission line and are each configured to radiate the first signal in response to a respective first control signal, and the second antenna elements are each disposed adjacent to the second transmission line and are each configured to radiate the second signal in response to a respective second control signal. Such an antenna can have better main-beam and side-lobe characteristics, and a better SIR, than prior antennas.
