摘要： Tools are provided that communicate to a pattern designer how much yarn is being used on every needle for a given tuft height pattern and permit the designer to adjust the pattern accordingly to balance the yarn usage on the needles. An electronic representation of a pattern design is received for controlling a carpet tufting operation. The pattern design includes a pile height per tuft. A grid is provided for representing the pattern design using different visual cues to represent different pile heights. A graph depicting use-of-yarn per needle for the carpet tufting operation is generated. The grid and the graph can be on a common user interface and can be viewable at the same time on a display device.

摘要： A sewing machine acquires sewing data to sew a cross stitch pattern. The sewing machine sets a planned sewing position of the cross stitch pattern. The sewing machine identities a position of at least one interstice on the sewing workpiece based on the generated image data. The sewing machine determines a sewing: position of the cross stitch pattern based on the set planned sewing position, and on the identified position of the at least one interstice. The sewing machine corrects the sewing data based on the determined sewing position. The sewing machine drives the sewing mechanism and the movement mechanism based on the corrected sewing data, such that the cross stitch pattern is sewn on the sewing workpiece.

摘要： Provided are improved methods for joining two pieces of fabric along a seam (e.g., curved seam) to form a fabric pattern piece (e.g., quilting block unit) using an embroidery machine. A digitized file instructs an embroidery machine to stitch a perforated guide-line in a stabilizer material secured inside an embroidery hoop for forming an opening having a desired shape in the stabilizing material. A first fabric is temporarily affixed to one side of the stabilizer material, and an opening with a seam allowance margin is cut in the fabric along the desired seam defined by the opening/shape in the stabilizing material. The seam allowance margin is folded through the opening/shape to the reverse side, and a second piece of fabric is affixed to the folded margin. The digitized file instructs the machine to stitch a hidden seam along the desired seam providing esthetic, geometrically precise fabric pattern pieces.
