摘要： The present invention provides a nitrogen-containing cyclic compound represented by the formula (1): ##STR1## (wherein R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group; R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; X represents an oxygen or sulfur atom or NR.sup.3 ; Q.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl group, or a phenyl, naphthyl or heterocyclic group etc.; Q.sup.2 represents an alkyl, cycloalkyl or alkenyl group, or a phenyl or thienyl group etc.; A.sup.1 represents a carbon or nitrogen atom; A.sup.2 represents CR.sup.2 or NR.sup.2, or an oxygen or sulfur atom, or SO or SO.sub.2 ; A.sup.3 represents a single bond, or an oxygen or sulfur atom, or CR.sup.5 or NR.sup.5) and a herbicide comprising the same , which herbicide exhibits very high herbicidal activity at very low application rate and has selectivity against crops.

摘要： The present invention is directed to microbiocidal combinations and processes for inhibiting the growth of microorganisms. The novel combinations and processes of the present invention show unexpected activity against microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi and algae. Specifically, the combinations of materials which are to be added to a system at the time of their use comprise (i) an oxidant such as potassium monopersulfate, sodium perborate, hydrogen peroxide or sodium percarbonate, (ii) a microbiocide such as 2,2-dibromo-3-nitrilopropionamide, methylene bis thiocyanate, 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one/2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one, tetrahydro-3,5-dimethyl-2H,1,3,5-thiadiazine-2-thione, and sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate/disodium ethylene bis dithiocarbamate and optionally (iii) a surfactant such as a fluorinated surfactant, and (iv) an anti-corrosive material such as an anhydrous phosphate, or combinations thereof.

摘要： The invention relates to novel substituted 5-phenoxyphenyl-tetrahydro-1,3,5-thiadiazin-4-ones of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, benzyl, phenoxy, phenylthio, or phenoxy or phenylthio substituted by a radical selected from the group consisting of halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, methoxy and ethoxy; each of R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently of the other is hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl, methoxy or ethoxy; each of R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 independently of the other is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl; and each of R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 independently of the other is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, alkoxyalkyl containing a total of 2 to 6 carbon atoms, benzyl, phenyl or phenyl which is substituted by a member selected from the group consisting of halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, methoxy and ethoxy, to the preparation of these novel compounds and to compositions containing them for use in pest control, especially for controlling insects and representatives of the order Acarina which are pests of plants and animals. The novel compounds are particularly effective against larval stages and nymphs of plant-destructive feeding insects, and most particularly against plant destructive cicadas, especially in rice crops.

摘要： A method of converting an inactive biocide into an active biocide comprises: contacting the inactive biocide with an activating agent, wherein the activating agent is capable of chemically reacting with the inactive biocide; and causing or allowing a chemical reaction to take place between the inactive biocide and the activating agent, wherein the chemical reaction produces the active biocide. The methods can also include deactivating the active biocide via a chemical reaction between the active biocide and a deactivating agent.
