摘要： A drum elevator and method of elevating cigarettes, the apparatus having a series of rotatable cigarette transferring drums including a first plurality of horizontally disposed drums at a first elevation and a second plurality of vertically disposed drums extending to a second elevation, the second plurality of vertically disposed drums receiving output from the first plurality of drums, the series of drums adapted to receive a procession of cigarettes at the first elevation and to elevate the cigarettes along a transfer path to the second elevation while maintaining the cigarettes arranged substantially in the procession; a rejection station at a location along the transfer path; a controller operative to selectively actuate the rejection station; and a stack former at the second elevation, the stack former receiving output of the second plurality of vertically disposed drums.

摘要： The invention relates to a feeding device for a wrapping machine for making fillers or cigars comprising at least two cutting beds interchangeable in place and adapted to cut a bunch leaf or wrapper, said beds being alternately displaced from a position for receiving a tobacco leaf to a leaf cutting position following the former in the direction of passage for delivering the bunch leaf or the wrapper to a wrapping mechanism and conversely. The invention has for its object to provide a machine of short dimension in the direction of passage, the operation of which is quieter than that of the existing machines.

摘要： A transmission system for a high speed cigarette packeting machine of the type on which the arbor is made up of a number of movable parts, comprises a train of gears that mesh with one another, a motor for operating the gears in a continuous fashion, and a plurality of shafts constantly caused to rotate by the aforementioned gears. Operating mechanisms of the machine are distributed throughout a wrapping line which extends along a sinuous, undulated path. The mechanism are connected to the rotatable shafts, from a part of which some of them take intermittent motion through Geneva mechanisms, and from the other part of which the other mechanisms take reciprocating motion through eccentric transmission devices.
