    • A plastic bag comprises opposing body panels fixedly connected to each other along a pair of sides and a bottom bridging the pair of sides. A reclosable zipper extending along a mouth portion formed opposite the sealed bottom of the plastic bag. The zipper is preferably free of graspable upper pull flanges in order to best accommodate a slider and inhibit operation of the zipper without the slider. The slider is mounted to the zipper for movement between a closed position and an open position. The zipper is closed while the slider is in the closed position. The zipper is opened in response to movement of the slider to the open position. To inhibit tampering with the contents of the bag, the bag includes a tamper-evident feature. In one set of embodiments, the tamper-evident feature initially maintains the slider in the closed position and allows the slider to move away from the closed position toward the open position in response to removing or breaking the tamper-evident feature. In another set of embodiments, the tamper-evident feature initially maintains a mouth portion of the plastic bag in a folded position and allows the mouth portion to be unfolded in response to removing or breaking the tamper-evident feature.

    • A zipper retainer can sense an illegal intrusion to a trunk (or bag). The retainers may be a hollow seat of any desired shape. One or two selected lateral walls or a selected surface of the seat is installed with at least one though hole. A front lateral wall and a rear lateral wall are formed with at least one tip post. Thus, when the zipper of the trunk or bag is closed, the retainer will be combined so that the zipper pieces pass through the though hole of the seat to be in a locking condition. The tip posts are inserted into the two lateral material strips of the zipper; and therefore, the structure is inseparable. When the retainer is destroyed by others, the user may know that the trunk (or bag) has been intruded.

    • A security device for a slide fastener, the security device including a housing adapted to be fitted to an object to which the slide fastener is attached, the housing substantially surrounding the slider of the slide fastener in its fully closed position, a closure member adapted to co-operate with the housing which, in use, covers the slider to prevent access thereto and a frangible locking element adapted to link the housing to the closure member, the locking element being resiliently yieldable and slidably insertable into the closure member but not retractable therefrom without fracturing the frangible locking element. Preferably the closure member is attached at one end to a puller and the puller is attached to the slider. In a preferred embodiment the closure member can pivot about the housing and block withdrawal of the slider from the housing in its closed position. In a practical embodiment the housing includes a receptacle or guide member which aligns with a slot in the closure member in its closed position and the frangible locking element includes barbs or hooks which lock behind the guide member to prevent extraction of said frangible locking element from the housing and the closure member.

    • An apparatus for blocking the release of a slide fastener caused by the movement of a slider. According to the preferable embodiment, this apparatus comprises a pair of sliders, which are provided with a pair of ring-projections respectively, and a pair of engaging members as a blocking member for supporting and ensuring the interlocking of the ring-projections. Then, a pair of studs are provided at the engaging members respectively. When the sliders arranged reversely are moved forwardly to be contacted with each other for closing the slide fastener, the ring-projections are interlocked so that the eyes of the both ring-projections are overlapped. Next, each stud is pushed into the overlapped eyes from each side and engaged to another stud in the eyes so as not to be removed and not to be pulled out. Therefore, the release of the slide fastener caused by the movement of the slider is surely blocked. For allowing the release of the slide fastener, the base of either stud is cut and another side engaging member is pulled out. In so doing, the engaging members are disengaged from each other. Accordingly, the sliders can be moved backwardly away from each other for opening the slide fastener.
