    • A sound broadcasting mechanism and an electronic device using the same are provided. The sound broadcasting mechanism includes a sound box, a sound broadcasting element and a sound enhancing element. The sound broadcasting element is disposed at the surface of the sound box to generate a sound signal. The sound enhancing element is disposed at the surface of the sound box. The sound enhancing element includes a resonating film and a weight increasing element. The resonating film can resonate with the sound signal in a resonating frequency range to enhance the sound intensity of the sound signal in the resonating frequency range. The weight increasing element is attached to the surface of the resonating film. The weight of the weight increasing element is related to the resonating frequency range.

    • The present invention relates to a speaker device or the like capable of stably providing desired directivity provided by a combination of omnidirectionality and bidirectionality down to ultra low frequencies. A speaker (22) is attached to one end face of a speaker box (21) and a sound wave radiation port (23) in a circular shape covered with acoustic resistance material (24) is installed at other end face thereof. The sound wave radiation port (23) is for radiating air vibration produced by a rear face of a speaker diaphragm to outside as sound wave and an axis penetrating the center extends in a direction of a principal axis (reference axis) of the speaker (22). A low pass filter is constituted by acoustic resistance and acoustic mass of the sound wave radiation port (23) and acoustic mass provided by air in the speaker box and a directivity is provided by utilizing group delay time in a pass band of sound wave radiated from the sound wave radiation port (23) via the low pass filter. The desired directivity can stably be provided down to ultra low frequencies by setting arbitrary group delay time regardless of dimensions or shape of the speaker box (21). By utilizing the directivity, a difference in sound pressure levels based on a difference in attenuation of sound in distances to two left and right channels is corrected and a listening range providing excellent stereophonic feeling can be enlarged.

    • The subject matter of the invention is a directional electro-acoustical converter, primarily a cardioid sound radiator which, in spite of its small dimensions, has cardioid directivity diagram and at the same time wide transmission band.The known solutions of the cardioid sound radiator have frequency responses falling towards the low frequencies thus being generally suitable for the transmission of speech informations. On the contrary, the directional converter according to the invention provides for a wide transmission band in the loudspeaker operating method being thus suitable for the transmission of musical programs, too. To the membrane of the converter according to the invention at least two phase shifting members having different sound route distances are coupled by means of acoustic coupling elements. The phase shifting members, and their coupling elements, respectively, have such a value that the quarter of the wave length corresponding to the transposition frequency produced by them is at least identical with, but at most the quadruple of the value of the smallest sound route distance. With this solution a nearly straight frequency response within the transmission band, cardioid directivity diagram and various variants thereof, respectively, can be provided for.
