The network video client can receive an instruction to play a video, transmit a request for searching for the video respectively to the network video server and the local video player, and receive respective search results; and if only the network video server locates the video, then the video will be retrieved from the network video server for playing, if only the local video player locates the video, then the local video player will be invoked to play the video, and if both the network video server and the network video client locate the video, then a mode selection window will be provided for a user to select a “network video client playing mode” or a “local video player playing mode”.

In general, a user is provided with an application panel allowing for navigation, categories, favorites, and search options that enable one or more functions associated with the intelligent television. The presentation of options is based on input received by the intelligent television. As a user provides input to the intelligent television via a remote control or other input device. The intelligent television is configured to interpret the input and provide interactive functionality in the form of content presented to the display of the intelligent television without obstructing the user from viewing content displayed on the screen of the intelligent television.

The system comprises a video encoder and a remote server, wherein the video encoder includes instructions for acquiring video and audio, encoding the video and audio, creating a manifest file, storing the manifest file, adding the manifest file to an upload queue, creating a segment file, storing the segment file, adding the segment file to the upload queue, initiating at least one upload worker thread, taking a first file from the upload queue, attempting to transmit the first file to the remote server, determining if an instability with the connection to the remote server exists, and, if so, repeating the attempting and determining steps, executing a data integrity test on the first file upon a successful upload of the first file, and repeating, if the data integrity test fails, the attempting, determining, and executing steps.

摘要： A method is performed using a smart TV, which receives from a television signal source device a television signal feed encoding primary television content and then presents that content. The smart TV receives data via the computer network, including first data representing a to-be-replaced portion of the primary television content and second data representing secondary television content. Using the second data, the smart TV automatically presents the secondary television content in place of the to-be-replaced television content. The method includes the smart TV: (a) automatically monitoring, during presentation of the secondary television content, the television signal feed and comparing it with the first data; and (b) automatically altering presentation of the secondary television content in accordance with a user-control action with respect to the television signal source device, in response to detecting any difference between the television signal feed and the first data indicative of that user-control action.

摘要： A digital security surveillance system allows a user to store selected security surveillance feeds while the user is simultaneously watching or reviewing another feed. User control commands are accepted and sent through the system. The system parses the resulting digital stream and generates identifying information associated with at least one video segment of the digital stream. The video segments are stored on a storage device. When a security surveillance feed is requested for display, a corresponding stored digital stream is found and its video segments are extracted from the storage device and sent to a decoder that converts the digital stream into display output signals. The security surveillance feeds can be simultaneously sent to an external storage device such as a DVD recorder or VCR.

摘要： An intelligent television and methods for interactive channel navigation and channel switching are disclosed. Specifically, an input may be received at the intelligent television that prompts the display of a list or other collection of channel tiles to a display area of an intelligent television. The list or other collection may include at least one channel tile that can visually represent broadcast content available on a channel via an image, without tuning to a channel to retrieve the image. Upon receiving a navigational input, a focus may move to an alternate channel tile. Upon receiving a selection input, the television may tune to the channel that is associated with a channel tile currently associated with a focus. The list or other collection of one or more channel tiles may contain one or more subsets of channel tiles, which may be associated with a collection of favorite or recommended channels.
