    • The movable electrode of the switching element consists of a flexible compressible contact-mesh comprising conducting and non-conducting wires. The conducting wires extend in the first direction of weaving and are arranged essentially straightlined in a plane. On the other hand, said non-conducting wires, which extend in the other direction of weaving, are bent around said conducting wires, thereby keeping said conducting wires at some distance from a flat electrode contacting said contact-mesh. When said contact-mesh is compressed said conducting wires are flexibly deformed, whereby the wave crests formed on said conducting wires are reaching the surfaces of said contact-mesh and are contacting there said flat electrode.

    • A force sensor is disclosed herein. The force sensor includes first and second layers formed from electrically conductive material. The force sensor also includes a third layer formed from an electrically insulative material disposed between the first and second layers. The third layer is a mesh defining a distribution of plurality of spaced openings. It is also disclosed herein that the force sensor can be incorporated in an auscultation training system. The auscultation training system can also include an auscultation device operable to be pressed against the force sensor whereby the force sensor emits a signal in response to being pressed. The auscultation training system can also include a controller communicating with the force sensor and operable to receive the signal. The auscultation training system can also include a database of sound files wherein the controller is operable to select one of the sound files in response to the signal.

    • An electrical contact (1) that comprises a core body (3) made from elasticmaterial and having outer, inner and side surfaces, a metal mesh layer (5) extending to the outer and sidesurfaces of the core body (3) and a bonding layer (7) covering the edge of the metal mesh layer (5) at the side surface of the core body (3). Since the metal mesh layer (5) is provided to the outer surface (contact surface) of the core body (3), the outer surface comes in contact with the other contact surface with a number of contact points. By providing the bonding layer (7), the edge (cut surface) of the metal mesh (5) is rarely exposed to air and the rusting which occurs easily at the edge can be prevented. And, the bonding layer (7) has a function for preventing the key top material from coming into around the outer surface of the electrical contact at the process for attaching the contact (1) to the key top. Accordingly, an electrical contact capable of having a number of contact points, such as a metal mesh, prevents rust of the metal mesh and further failure of a bonding operation to a key top of a key switch can be provided.

    • A touch panel includes a first substrate having a first resistance film, a second substrate having a second resistance film and a wiring electrode. The first resistance film and the second resistance film are arranged to face each other. A conductive connection member is interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and electrically connects the first resistance film to the first wiring electrode.
