摘要： A sheet processing apparatus, including: a booklet making section for making a booklet by covering a sheet bundle comprised of a plurality of sheets with a cover in a U-shape; a folding section for forming a fold-line on a coversheet, which covers the booklet made by the book making section; cover sheet conveyance section for conveying the coversheet; a measurement section for measuring a thickness of the sheet bundle; and a control section for controlling operations of the cover sheet conveyance section and the folding section to determine a folding position on the coversheet and form a fold-line on the folding position; wherein the folding position has been determined based on size information of the coversheet, size information of a sheet of the sheet bundle and thickness information of the sheet bundle measured by the measurement section.

The image processing system includes: an image processing apparatus A which has a reading section 105, an image processing section 110 for performing image processing of a read image, and a metadata generating section 106 for generating metadata for an abnormal image; a storage server B which stores the image and the metadata outputted from the image processing apparatus A; and an image checking apparatus C which checks whether or not the metadata is included in the image acquired from the storage server B, and which when the metadata is included in the acquired image, displays the image on the basis of the metadata, and corrects the acquired image. The image processing system is capable of correcting only the abnormal image, without re-reading all the images.

There are provided an image forming unit (110) for forming an image, an top face sheet ejecting unit (130) for ejecting a paper sheet (P) onto the top face of the device body (101), a top face ejected sheet tray (150) capable of receiving an ejected paper sheet (P) and openable/closable with respect to the device body (101), a platen glass (160) on which a subject is placed, a two-dimensional sensor (170) provided to the top face ejected sheet tray (150) to image the subject placed on the platen glass (160), and a manual feed unit (210) for transporting sheet originals (S) one by one and passing an original through an original information read section. The two-dimensional sensor (170) is so provided that the image of the sheet original appearing in the original information read section is formed on the partial area of the imaging area (170a).

摘要： It is possible to provide an information processing apparatus capable of appropriately processing a job for case binding without depending on the sequence of page data constituting the job, a method for controlling the apparatus and a program. To accomplish this, a job for case binding is inputted, and the inputted job is stored in storage means of the image processing apparatus. A bookbinding cover attribute is set for page data to be a cover, in the job stored in the storage means. The order of output of page data in the job is determined based on the set attribute. The page data in the job stored in the storage means are read and outputted to a printer unit in accordance with the determined output order.

摘要： The pages of a book being held at least partially open may be sequentially automatically turned over from one side of the book to the other by pivoting an elongated arm from one side of the book toward the other and turning over individual pages with a vacuum head pivoting relative to the elongated pivoted arm about a different pivot axis as the elongated arm moves to reduce undesirable forces on the individual book pages being turned over. The vacuum head may initially pivot to bend the edge of an individual page up away from the book, to aid in page separation, and then subsequently differently pivot to help peel the same page gently away from the vacuum head and flip it over onto the opposite side of the book. This may be assisted by moving frictional belts on the vacuum head.

摘要： An image reading device capable of preventing, by increasing the quantity of light at the center or bound portion of a spread book document, the quantity of light from becoming short and preventing density from becoming irregular due to the deviation of a focus. At and around the center of a spread book document where the document is bound, the quantity of light for illumination or the amplification gain of image data read from the document is increased. A plurality of fluorescent lamps illuminate the surface of the document at the upstream side and downstream side with respect to an intended scanning direction. When the edge of the document is to be detected, only one of the lamps is turned on to enhance the stripe pattern representative of the stepped edge portion of the document.

摘要： A copying machine is disclosed which is capable of copying an original document having a page number by preliminarily erasing or correcting the page number portion of the image and by changing the order of the output images according to their respective page numbers or by changing the path for delivering the sheet of paper to be copied. A document page image read-in by a charge coupled device sensor is converted into digital signals which are corrected for shading and then binarized and stored in an image memory. This image data is transferred to a working memory wherein the page number shown on the document is read by a page number recognizing unit. The control unit checks the page number and allocates a binding margin on a suitable portion of the document's image. On the basis of the recognition of the page number on the document's image, it also decides to copy the document on one side of the sheet of paper and to deliver it out, or to copy the next document onto the other side of the sheet of paper.
