摘要： A furnace for alternatively burning solid or liquid fuels is disclosed. The furnace includes an oil burner and a solid fuel burner as well as a combustion chamber for the burning fuel. The hot combustion gases can be introduced through one of two sets of chimney gas flues, depending upon the fuel being burned. A tiltable flap at the inlet of the chimney gas flues controls which set of flues the gas passes through. At the outlet of the flues, a reversing chamber reverses the direction of the gases and directs them to a flue gas pipe for removing the combustion gases from the furnace. The position of the tiltable flap is controlled by a control means responsive to the sensed temperature of the gas leaving the furnace. The chimney gas flues define a heat exchanger and may be formed from flat plates or round ducts.

The electronic toilet includes a controller, a water spraying cleaner, a water chiller having a cold-water outlet pipe and a cold-water electromagnetic valve disposed on the cold-water outlet pipe, a water heater having a hot-water outlet pipe and a hot-water electromagnetic valve disposed on the hot-water outlet pipe, and a booster water pump with a water inlet thereof connected to a confluent water outlet pipe of the water chiller through a water outlet pipe of the cold-water electromagnetic valve and the water heater through a water outlet pipe of the hot-water electromagnetic valve, and a water outlet thereof connected to the cleaner.

摘要： A liquid heater such as a direct electrical resistance liquid heater having multiple flow channels is provided with a temperature-sensing element in the form of a wire extending across numerous channels, preferably all of the channels, near the downstream ends of the channels. The resistance of the wire represents the average temperature of the liquid passing through all of the channels, and hence the temperature of the mixed liquid exiting from the heater. A bubble suppressing structure is provided in the vicinity of the wire.

A pump circulates water through the water heating device and through the hot water holding tank.

摘要： A furnace system suitable for independent use and for retrofitting conventional central heating oil furnaces to permit controlled continuous and efficient combustion of fragmented wood type fuels. Wood chips or other fuel fragments are trickle fed into a refractory wood type combustion chamber. For retrofitting an oil furnace the oil burner gun is removed. A flame tube adapter couples the wood type fuel combustion chamber into the oil combustion chamber and heat exchanger plenum of the conventional furnace. The oil burner gun of the retrofitted furnace is used to ignite the wood chips or other fuel fragments during start up. A blower establishes forced draft. The furnace system includes automatic controls for sequencing operation of the elements of the retrofitting furnace system. An independent wood chip furnace system is also described.
