摘要： A heddle frame for supporting a plurality of heddles includes a top rail and a bottom rail extending longitudinally relative to the frame. End members connect the top rail and bottom rail so as to form a generally rectangular frame structure. A heddle bar is supported on the frame structure wherein heddles are supported by said heddle bars in the frame structure. A center brace extends between the top rail and the bottom rail at a position between the end members for maintaining parallelism of the top and bottom rails. The center brace includes an elongated center portion and first and second flanges at opposite longitudinal ends of the center portion. First and second locking blocks are respectively attached to the top rail and the bottom rail and are configured to respectively receive the first flange and the second flange and to exert forces on the first and second flanges to create opposing torques thereon. This places the center portion in torsion and locks the first flange and the second flange within their respective locking blocks.

摘要： An intermediate support for a weaving heddle frame in which heddle carrying rods are affixed to the frame stave, the support transmitting both tensile and compressive forces between these rods. The support can be disengaged from the lower heddle carrying rod simply by loosening a fastener at the top of the support and can then be swung upwardly to clear the space between the two heddle carrying rods. The support comprises a flexible cable, partially surrounded by at least one rigid hollow segment. Tension forces in the cable and compressive forces in the rigid hollow member hold the upper and lower heddle carrying rods, as well as the upper and lower frame staves affixed thereto, in a predetermined parallel relationship.

摘要： A center brace apparatus for a loom frame or harness that extends between an upper and lower elongated frame members. One or more center brace members extend between the elongated frame members in abutting relationship therewith and are clamped to an associated frame member for a quick and simple installation and release. The center brace member is an elongated member that has T-shaped end or foot portions that abut surfaces on the elongated frame members. On each of the frame members is a clamping assembly that includes a hollow support bracket member with top, bottom and side walls. A sliding block member is disposed inside of the hollow bracket support member for sliding contact with side walls of the support bracket member. A screw member is received through one wall member and threadedly engages the slidable block member through a threaded opening in the slidable block member for moving the block member toward and away from the center brace member. A pair of U-shaped strip members or straps are pivotally mounted on the sliding block member for insertion over the T-shaped end portions of the center brace member. In one embodiment the center brace member is a relatively thin rod and in another embodiment the center brace member is a bifurcated member.The bifurcated member is relatively wide and has channel portions that extend for substantially the entire length of the member. At one end of the center brace member are bifurcated elements that define a narrow slot extending along the center line of the member towards the center thereof with the slot opening increasing towards the center of the member.
