摘要： There are provided an accessory member capable of suppression of adhesion of dirt to its surface, and easy removal of adherent dirt, as well as to provide an accessory comprising the accessory member. An accessory member includes a sintered ceramic body, a kurtosis Rku derived from a surface roughness curve of an outer surface of the sintered ceramic body falling in a range of 0.5 or more and 2.5 or less. In this case, since the sintered ceramic body has many rounded asperities at its outer surface, it is possible to suppress adhesion of dirt to the outer surface, as well as to remove adherent dirt with ease.

Each sealing element (48) is configured to protect a non-leached portion of an associated PCD element during a leaching process, said support being formed from or coated with a polyketone based plastics material. A plurality of support structures (42) may be stacked on top of each other and a central support rod (52) is locatable in a central aperture (50) extending though the stack of support structures (42). A handle (54) may be attached to the central support rod (52) for ease of transporting the assembled support structure.

摘要： Methods of forming a polycrystalline compact for use in an earth-boring tool include sintering a plurality of hard particles with catalyst material to form a polycrystalline material that includes a plurality of inter-bonded particles of hard material integrally formed with the catalyst material and introducing at least a portion of the polycrystalline material to a reactive material to remove at least a portion of the catalyst material contained within the polycrystalline material. The reactive material may include at least one of a molten glass, an ionic compound, a leaching liquor, and a chemical plasma. The reactive material may be introduced to the polycrystalline material at a temperature of greater than or equal to a melting point thereof.

The fixture system includes an etching fixture having a body with a generally cylindrical top section, a bore through the body allowing a cylindrical cutting insert to be placed into the body and to extend partially out of the bore, and a sealing element disposed adjacent an end of the bore to seal against a cutting insert which is inserted into the bore. The fixture system also includes a cap disposed over the top section of the body which extends around the outside of the top section of the etching fixture body and engages the outside of the top section of the body to seal against the body and seal the first end of the bore.

The product of the process may form part of an implantable device or a medical instrument, including a medical device or instrument associated with an intraocular procedure. The surface may be modified to include micrometer- or nanometer-sized pillars, posts, pits or cavitations; hierarchical structures having asperities; or posts/pillars with caps having dimensions greater than the diameters of the posts or pillars.

摘要： A ceramic layer, especially for use in solid oxide cell (SOC) technology, is densified in a method comprising (a) providing a multilayer system by depositing the porous ceramic layer, which is to be densified, onto the selected system of ceramic layers on a support, (b) pre-sintering the resulting multilayer system at a temperature T1 to consolidate a sintered, but porous layer, (c) impregnating a solution or suspension of one or more sintering aids directly into the layer to be densified, (d) evaporating the solution or suspension of step (c) to obtain a homogeneous dispersion of the sintering aid(s) in the porous layer surface and (e) performing a thermal treatment at a temperature T2, where T2>T1, to obtain densification of and grain growth in the porous layer formed in step (b). The method makes it possible to obtain dense ceramic layers at temperatures, which are compatible with the other materials present in a ceramic multilayer system.
