摘要： An actuation device of a control cable of a bicycle gearshift has a casing, a cable-winding bush mounted in the casing rotatable about a rotation axis in a first angular direction between a first and a last angular position and in a second angular direction between the last and the first angular position, a rotary member mounted in the casing in a rotary manner about the rotation axis and a stationary member mounted in a non-rotary manner in the casing, wherein one of the two members is provided with at least one first pointer engaged on a fastening track formed on the other member, the fastening track extending along a closed loop path and having at least one first plurality of stop positions engageable in sequence by the pointer. A first stop position that determines the first angular position of the cable-winding bush is angularly spaced from the next stop position by an indexing angle.

The shift state detector detects a shift state of the bicycle. The controller issues a command for controlling a drive assistance force to be outputted by the drive assistance electric motor in accordance with the manual drive force detected by the manual drive force detector. The controller controls the drive assistance force to delay a reduction in the drive assistance force in relation to a reduction in the manual drive force upon determining the manual drive force is reduced, and controls the delay in the reduction of the drive assistance force in accordance with the shift state of the bicycle.

In a representative embodiment, a method of converting a bicycle frame from a mechanical gear-shifting configuration to an electronic gear-shifting configuration comprises removing a mechanical cable extending between a mechanical gear-shift actuator and a mechanical gear shifter via a cable stop of a removable bracket member secured to a down tube member of the bicycle frame, and removing the removable bracket member from the down tube member of the bicycle frame. The method further comprises mounting an electronically-actuated gear shifter to the bicycle frame in electrical communication with an electronic gear-shift actuator such that actuation of the electronic gear-shift actuator causes the electronically-actuated gear shifter to shift gears.

The pawl releasing member selectively locates the locking pawl from the locking position to the release position by pivoting around the third pivot axis. The pivot axis of the pawl releasing member is offset from both of the pivot axes of the takeup member and the locking pawl.
