    • A seating system for motorized vehicles is adapted to saddles on which riders travel for extended periods of time, such as motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, and the like. The saddle includes an isolator with a disconnect for lateral vibrations, and a damper for lateral and vertical absorption and isolation of shocks and vibration. A decoupler includes layers separating or uncoupling lateral shear loading from vertical spring loading so vertical forces are not increased by the tension against nearby, laterally displaced material. Cradles provide bolsters to support soft tissue and distribute loads on skeletal structures more evenly at increased area and lower stress. Coverings may include integrating liners, moisture barriers, and an outer wrapper or skin, and may include localized padding.

    • A bicycle seat support comprising a lower engagement member, an upper engagement member, and a compliant support assembly coupling the upper engagement member to the lower engagement member. In one embodiment, the bicycle seat support further comprises an angular adjustment mechanism coupled to the upper engagement member and configured to adjust an angle of the upper engagement member relative to the lower engagement member. For example, the angular adjustment mechanism can comprise a lower link coupled (e.g., cantilevered) to the lower engagement member and an intermediate link coupled (e.g., pivotally) between the lower link and the upper engagement member. In one embodiment, the seat support further comprises a bottom out beam cantilevered to the lower engagement member. The bottom out beam is positioned to inhibit downward movement of the upper engagement member after the upper engagement member has deflected downward.

    • A seat support and a method for obtaining same includes a support body made from polymeric materials derived from castor oil, a padding positioned on said body, and a coating that covers the padding. The padding includes at least one layer of foam made at least in part from a component derived from renewable sources and/or of natural origin like palm oil, castor oil, soybean oil, colza oil, or in general a vegetable oil, and it can include a layer and/or insert made from gel obtained by adding in dispersion with a polyolic and or isocyanic component, possible particles of cork and possible compatibilizing agents to maintain the continuity of the polymeric characteristics with the coating and promote sticking. The coating includes a polymer formed from castor oil. The seat support according to the present invention is therefore environmentally-friendly, biodegradable, easy to recycle and/or dispose of.
