    • A centrifugal separating apparatus having a vessel with a chamber assembly disposed therein that is rotated by a rotatable main shaft driven by a motor at a predetermined speed for separating water and oil from a stream of fluid. The rotatable chamber assembly defines an upper chamber for receiving the stream of fluid from an inlet tube and a lower chamber for collecting water separated from the stream of fluid. The upper chamber is in fluid flow communication with a plurality of U-tube assemblies with each assembly having a pair of upper oil separation tubes and a single lower water separation tube that extends outwardly in a radial direction from the chamber assembly at the near end of each U-tube assembly. The free end of each U-tube assembly is engaged and communicates with one of a plurality of tubular return sections that collectively define an outer tube that allows for the separation of the oil and water from the stream of fluid during rotation of the main shaft by the centrifugal separating apparatus. A strain retaining plate is engaged to the chamber assembly and the outer tube for providing structural support such that centripetal forces applied by rotation of the main shaft does not apply excess stress to the U-tube assemblies. The motor is in operative association with a microprocessor controller that terminates operation of the apparatus when vibrations generated by the operation of the apparatus exceeds a predetermined value.

    • A centrifugal separator includes devices for light matter extraction and for heavy matter extraction. Each embodiment provides for a plurality, e.g., two or more stacked or layered chambers, and connected to a central compartment of the chambers is a rotating drive shaft. In the light matter extraction, a central conduit feeds fluid input into the lower chamber. An upper portion of the lower chamber communicates with the lower portion of a mid chamber via a port formed in a plate dividing the chambers. The upper portion of the mid chamber communicates with the lower portion of an upper chamber via a port formed in a plate dividing the chambers. The chambers can be fixably connected to one another. In the heavy matter extraction an initial feed conduit feeds fluid into the upper chamber.

    • A centrifuge with combinations of multiple features is disclosed. In one aspect, a centrifuge for removing more dense material from a fluid medium includes a fluid separation wall placed within a sleeve. The fluid separation wall rotates around the axis of rotation. A receptacle aids in separation of the more dense material from the fluid medium. The receptacle defined in a part by a respective geometry and a respective shape. An opening extends from the void area to the outer surface to transport the more dense material to the containment zone. An excitation apparatus associated with the receptacle creates a vibration within the receptacle. The centrifuge may further include a valve ring including a valve orifice the valve ring having a first position which blocks the more dense material from exiting the receptacle and a second position that allows the more dense material to move into the containment zone.

    • The present invention relates to a centrifuge apparatus. The centrifuge apparatus is operable at certain predetermined parameters depending upon a product to be separated and is useable with a plurality of rotor assemblies. For example, a first rotor assembly of said plurality of rotor assemblies includes a first core having a first core configuration which is contained within a rotor housing of the first rotor assembly to define a first volume capacity such that the product passing through the first rotor assembly having the first volume capacity during rotation of the first rotor assembly in the centrifuge apparatus achieves a first particle separation of the product. A second rotor assembly of said plurality of rotor assemblies includes a second core having a second core configuration which is contained with a rotor housing of the second rotor assembly to define a second volume capacity of such that product passing through the second rotor assembly having the second volume capacity during rotation of the second rotor assembly in the centrifuge apparatus achieves a second particle separation of the product. It is observed that the second particle separation is a linear change with respect to the first particle separation.
