Each aeration module defines a vertically elongated aeration chamber having a top inlet and a bottom outlet. Each aeration module has an aeration head connected to the top inlet, such that the fluid stream passing through the top inlet into the aeration chamber must pass through the aeration head, the aeration head aerating the liquid with the gas in the fluid stream.

The steam jet unit is for supplying steam into the mixing chamber. The control unit is for controlling the cleaner to flow or to stop flowing into the cleaner inlet passage.

The valve assembly may also include a venturi used for drawing regeneration fluid into the system, and an associated venturi cleaner system which allows a user to unclog the fluid-flow orifice of the venturi without any disassembly of parts of the valve arrangement.
