摘要： An adjustable back support assembly coupled to the back of a chair in which a user sits with his back spaced from the chair back. The adjustable back support assembly includes a back support that is pivotally connected to the back of the chair by a hinge. The back support is rotatable at the hinge away from the chair back and towards the back of the user to provide support thereto. The back support assembly also includes a gas cylinder having a retractable piston. The gas cylinder is connected between the back support of the adjustable back support assembly and an upstanding rigid chair backing within the back of the chair. When the retractable piston is forced outwardly from the gas cylinder, a linear pushing force is correspondingly generated by the piston to cause the back support to rotate away from the chair back and towards the back of the user.

摘要： A reversible adjustable lumbar support and headrest tilt mechanism is provided for installation on a chair. A side bracket is coupled to each side of the back frame, and a back bracket is pivotably coupled to each side bracket. An actuator is pivotably coupled to the back frame that has an extendable and retractable shaft. In a first orientation, with the actuator shaft extending toward the upper end of the back frame, a headrest back insert is couple-able to and between the back brackets, such that extension and retraction of the actuator shaft rotates the headrest back insert. In a second orientation, with the actuator shaft extending toward the lower end of the back frame, a lumbar push bar is couple-able to and between the back brackets, such that extension and retraction of the actuator shaft rotates the lumbar push bar.

The seat back includes a first frame, a second frame coupled to the first frame, and a net member mounted between the first and second frames. The second frame includes a mounting brace mounted thereto and the mounting brace include a waist support coupling section that is connectable with a waist support. The waist support includes a support portion including a rigid plate and a connection portion. The support portion includes a barrel mounted thereto and extending toward the connection portion. The connection portion includes a projection peg mounted thereto and extending toward the support portion to correspond to the barrel. An elastic element has an end fit to the projection peg of the connection portion and an opposite end fit in the barrel of the support portion so as to interface between the connection portion and the support portion.
