    • A connector housing (1) of a connector (1) is constituted by a lower housing (7), which is mounted on a printed circuit board (2), and an upper housing (8) connected to the lower housing (7) in such a manner as to be able to perform shifting movement with respect the housing (7). Further, terminals (6) are provided in such a way as to penetrate through a partitioning wall portion (8a) of the upper housing (8) and through a connecting block portion (7b) of the lower housing (7). At that time, tapered holes (7d) are provided in the connecting block portion (7b). The terminals (6) are maintained in a state in which a bending deformation thereof caused by the shifting movement of the upper housing (8) is allowed. Consequently, when the connector (1) is connected to the mating connector (3), the connectors (1, 3) can be connected to each other by performing the shifting movement of the upper housing (8) thereby to concurrently absorb the positional displacement therebetween. Moreover, occurrences of problems, such as breakage and bend of the terminals (6) at that time, are prevented.

    • Cavities capable of housing terminal fittings connected with the ends of electric wires W are provided inside of a housing. A rear assembly is assembled at the rear of the housing. The rear assembly includes a cover formed of a quality of material having no elasticity and a waterproof member formed of a quality of material having elasticity. The waterproof member further includes a wire seal part that surrounds and waterproofs electric wires, and a housing seal part that seals between the two housings. A clearance is provided about a periphery between the outer peripheral face of the wire seal part and the housing seal part. Even if the material of the wire seal part is deformed during the insertion operation of the electric wires, the insertion operation of the electric wires can be smoothly carried out to the last wire because the clearance absorbs the deformation of the entire wire seal part.

    • A connector housing (6) of the connector device (1) is composed of an outer housing (9) to be mounted onto a printed circuit board (2) by screwing, and an inner housing (8) connected to the outer housing (9) so as to be movable in the right and left direction with respect to the outer housing (9). Into the inner housing (8), there is incorporated a terminal (7) including a connecting portion (7a) to be connected by a terminal (5) of a mating connector device (3), a spring portion (7c), and a switch contact (7b) respectively formed integral with the terminal (7). On the printed circuit board (2), there is disposed an electrode (2a) with which the switch contact (7b) can be elastically contacted. Thanks to this structure, by switchingly moving the inner housing (8) in the right and left direction, circuit switching can be achieved.
