    • A method for forming a metalization system is provided. The method includes providing a substrate. A dielectric layer is formed over a surface of the substrate. A plurality of via holes is formed into a surface and the dielectric layer, such holes passing through the dielectric layer. Recesses are formed in the surface of the dielectric layer, such recesses terminating in a portion of the plurality of via holes passing through the dielectric layer. A metalization layer is deposited over the surface of the dielectric layer, portions of the metalization layer passing through the via holes, portions of the metalization layer being disposed in the recesses and portions of the metalization layer being disposed on the surface of the dielectric layer. The metalization layer is patterned into a plurality of conductors, one portion of the conductors being disposed on one level of the dielectric layer and another portion of the conductors disposed in the recesses. A metalization system having a substrate with a dielectric layer disposed over such substrate. A plurality of electrical conductors is provided, one portion of the conductors being disposed on one level of the dielectric layer and another portion of the conductors being recessed in a surface portion of the dielectric layer.

    • Disclosed are a soft handoff system, a soft handoff method, and a mobile terminal equipped with the soft handoff system. The soft handoff system for a mobile terminal analyzes periodically monitored wireless conditions of neighbor base stations, transmits a PSMM (Pilot Strength Measurement Message) to a current base station when a condition arises that needs reporting to the current base station, receives an HDM (Handoff Direction Message) from the current base station, wherein upon receiving the HDM from the current base station, the system allows a handoff drop timer of an active base station belonging to an active set having a pilot channel signal strength less than a predetermined value to continue running rather than to be reset until the handoff drop timer expires.

    • Disclosed herein is an automatic pulse plasma welding method and apparatus for forming a lap joint between membrane sheets, which applies plasma welding to a lap joint between membrane sheets to improve working efficiency and productivity, and which provides optimal welding conditions to the respective regions of the lap joint between membrane sheets to improve welding quality. In the present invention, each of corrugated parts of a lap joint between membrane sheets having flat parts and the corrugated parts is divided into a plurality of regions, optimal welding conditions are provided to each of the regions, a corrugated part is sensed by a photo sensor to improve sensitivities of two touch sensors, a θ axis of a welding torch moves by a difference value between outputs of the two touch sensors, the angle of the welding torch at each of the corrugated parts is recognized by output voltage values of a potentiometer mounted on the θ axis of the welding torch, and if a detection voltage corresponding to each of the regions is recognized, welding conditions of a corresponding region are varied/set to an optimal welding condition, thus enabling the lap joint between membrane sheets to be pulse plasma welded.
