摘要： A fuel supply apparatus is designed to secure a high fuel pressure to enhance starting operation efficiency and to respond the requirements of low fuel consumption and power saving at the time of starting operation of a fuel consumption unit such as an internal combustion engine, and comprises a fuel pump for supplying fuel reserved in a fuel tank to an engine, a pressure regulator for introducing therein the fuel to be supplied to the engine from the fuel pump and regulating the fuel at a set pressure, the pressure regulator being operative to change the set pressure of the fuel to a high set pressure and a low set pressure, and a set pressure changing unit for changing the set pressure of the pressure regulator into a desired set pressure selected from among the high set pressure and the low set pressure, the set pressure changing unit being operative to allow the set pressure of the pressure regulator at the time of the fuel pump being stopped to be higher than the set pressure of the pressure regulator at the time of the fuel pump being operated.
