摘要： The invention provides a fixing device having at least: a first rotary body, having a heat generating layer from which heat is generated by action of a magnetic field: a second rotary body contacting the first rotary body; a magnetic field generating unit arranged to have a predetermined separation from the inner circumferential face of the first rotary body or to have a predetermined separation from the outer circumferential face of the first rotary body; and a heat generation controlling member arranged facing the magnetic field generating unit, with the first rotary body being between the heat generation controlling member and the magnetic field generating unit, the heat generation controlling member having at least a temperature-sensitive magnetic material having a Curie temperature and controlling generation of heat of the heat generating layer. The invention further provides an image forming device having at least the mixing device.

摘要： A heating apparatus includes: an exciting coil provided in close vicinity of a heated body having a conductive layer; a capacitor connected serially or in parallel with the exciting coil; a switching element that generates a high frequency current by turning on/off a direct current and that supplies the high frequency current to the exciting coil and the capacitor; a specifying unit that specifies an electric value to be supplied to the exciting coil; an output unit that outputs, to the switching element, a driving signal to turn on the switching element for a period determined in correspondence with the specified electric value; a voltage detection unit that detects a flyback voltage value generated in a resonance circuit including the exciting coil and the capacitor; and an abnormality detection unit that detects an abnormality in the heated body based on the detected flyback voltage value.

A fixing apparatus is also disclosed, which includes the heat generating medium as described above, and a power supplying device for feeding current to the heat generating layer, wherein a recording sheet bearing a non-fixed toner image thereon is brought into press contact with the heat generating layer which generates heat when it receives current from the power supply device.

摘要： A fixing apparatus for an image forming apparatus of the present invention includes: a rotatable heat roll; a heat-resistant elastic member fixedly disposed to form a nip section in contact with an outer circumferential surface of the heat roll, the heat-resistant elastic member being impregnated with a liquid release agent which is supplied to the nip section; and a porous fluororesin film formed by sintering a fluororesin powder for coating a surface of the heat-resistant elastic member coming in contact with the heat roll so that the release agent can be supplied by a predetermined amount while permeating through the film. The porous fluororesin film may include: a film formed by using metal fibers, glass fibers, or the like as a supporting member thereof, and a film formed by applying a gelled dimethyl silicone oil at least to a single surface of the film.
