    • A voltage-to-current converter is provided. The voltage-to-current converter comprises an amplifier, a resistor network, an R-2R network, and switches. The amplifier has a first input node (which is an input signal), a second input node, and an output node. The resistor network is coupled to the output node of the amplifier, includes a plurality of resistors coupled in series with on another, and includes a plurality of first tap nodes. The R-2R network is coupled to the resistor network and includes a plurality of second tap nodes. Additionally, at least one switch is coupled between the second input node of the amplifier and each first tap node, and at least one switch is coupled between the second input node of the amplifier and each of the second tap nodes.

    • An operational amplifier (1B) amplifies an input signal (Vin) to produce an output signal (Vout), and includes a 3-stage amplifier (1C) including a first amplifier stage (2) receiving the input signal, a second amplifier stage (3) driven by the first amplifier stage (2), and a third amplifier stage (4) driven by the second amplifier stage to produce the output signal. A slew detection current (Idetect) is generated when the input signal (Vin) exceeds a certain magnitude, and is converted to a control signal (41) that operates a switch (MN0) to short-circuit output conductors of the first amplifier stage to prevent signal charge from building up on capacitances associated with the output of the first amplifier stage during slewing. The three stage amplifier can be a chopper-stabilized, notch-filtered amplifier.

    • An integrated voltage controlled current source device is provided, that extends the high accuracy, low drift output current over a large current range, and provides more headroom and better power efficiency than the standard shunt resistor and INA (instrumentation amplifier) current source arrangement. The device has a control voltage input, a load current output and a current set terminal for a connection of a current set resistor. It contains a selected leg biasing set voltage, corresponding to a control voltage applied to the control voltage input of a regulating driver amplifier providing a regulated voltage to be applied across the current set resistor, thereby causing a reference current to flow through the current set resistor and selected leg(s) of a current mirror. Furthermore, the device contains a dynamically matched current mirror that mirrors the reference current to the load output current. The algorithm for selecting the current mirror legs may be a pseudo-random or a defined pattern.
