    • The present invention relates to a filter employed in a radio communication apparatus and has as an object to prevent characteristics of the filter from degradation by increasing unloaded Q of strip line resonators of the filter. For achieving the above object, the invention provides a filter which comprises a substrate (4) having first and second strip lines (5), (6) formed on a top surface and mutually coupled through an electromagnetic field and an earth pattern (2) on a bottom surface, respectively, a dielectric layer (8) laminated on the top surface of the substrate and having capacitor patterns (9), (10) formed on a top surface thereof in opposition to the aforementioned first and second strip lines (5), (6), and a metal cap (1) fitted over the dielectric layer (8) having an electrically conductive surface at least on one of top and bottom surfaces, and an electrically conductive film formed on a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the aforementioned substrate (4) and connected to the earth pattern (2) on the bottom surface thereof, wherein at least a portion of an outer periphery of the metal cap (1) is led downwardly toward the electrically conductive film, and the portion led downwardly is connected to the electrically conductive film.

    • An optical emitting module includes a light-emitting device that emits light, and a lens member having a refracting surface configured to refract light emitted from the light-emitting device and to emit refracted light. The lens member is configured such that, when the angle of a light beam emitted from the lens member with respect to a principal light axis is θ1, a light beam with the maximum emission angle θ1 from the lens member is emitted from the refracting surface in the vicinity of a point where the refracting surface and the principal light axis cross each other. With this configuration, even when the light-emitting surface of a light source is large, it is possible to suppress the spread of emergent light from the lens member, obtaining a light intensity distribution with high uniformity.

    • Provided is an optical space transmitter and an optical space transmission method, for wavelength-multiplexed light, capable of obtaining a wavelength-multiplexed signal by multiplexing optical signals having a plurality of wavelengths with a simple configuration and without requiring highly precise adjustment for optical axes and enhancing safety for a human body, including, e.g., the eyes. The transmitter has a configuration for which light sources (101a, 101b) for outputting signal lights having wavelengths different from each other are arranged so as to irradiate an approximately identical portion of a diffusion plate (104), a diffuse light outputted from the diffusion plate (104) is converted, by a radiation lens (105), into a light traveling with an angle suitable for transmission in a free space, and the converted light is passed out to the free space. Accordingly, without requiring a highly precise adjustment for optical axes, it is possible to realize a wavelength multiplexing optical space transmitter operable to multiplex optical signals having wavelengths different from each other based on a coincided optical axis, and to reduce risk of eye injury.
