Further, the exemplary embodiments of the invention provide at least a method and apparatus for receiving a set of parameters defining a physical uplink control channel and allocating physical/virtual resource blocks based at least on received physical uplink control channel configuration parameters, a received resource allocation and predefined physical resource block mapping rules.
