摘要： A surge protector for an electrical line is disclosed. The surge protector includes a pair of conductive pins respectively connectable to electrical lines. A first pin is soldered to a lead from a gas tube surge arrester. The lead is further fixed adjacent to the first pin and then attached to the second pin. A ground bracket having an opening is positioned between and connected with the other side of the surge arrester. As an electrical surge travels through the lines, the gas tube surge arrester begins to spark over, shunting overload conditions to the ground bracket. As the temperature begins to build, the solder flows, causing an open condition in which the surge arrester disconnects from the first pin, thereby eliminating the destructive effects of a prolonged electrical surge on the lines.

摘要： A system for organizing optical fibers includes a pedestal, a bracket and a fiber splice tray. The pedestal has a longitudinal passage through it. The pedestal has at least one hole on its side surface. The hole penetrates from the longitudinal passage to an exterior of the pedestal. The bracket is mounted to the pedestal near the hole. The bracket is capable of receiving and storing a plurality of fiber splice trays. Preferably, the pedestal includes a plurality of holes located around its perimeter and a plurality of brackets located between respective ones of the plurality of holes. Each tray is movable between a vertical position for storage and a horizontal position for accessing a fiber on the tray. The assembly has a single base mounted on the pedestal below the plurality of holes, at a distance from the bottom of the pedestal; and a single cover that joins with the base to form a sealed enclosure around the plurality of brackets and the fiber splice trays. Optionally, the pedestal may have: a plurality of lower holes located around the perimeter of the pedestal at a first height, with a plurality of lower brackets between the lower holes; and a plurality of upper holes located around the perimeter of the pedestal at a second height with a plurality of upper brackets between the upper holes. The upper and lower brackets can support upper and lower sets of fiber splice trays.

A bend limiter and a mounting plate extend generally perpendicular to and away from the plane at opposite ends of the base. The bend limiter has a generally arcuately-shaped surface and a generally planar surface that enables adjacent placement of two fiber-optic cable routing and bend limiting devices constructed in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. When two devices in accordance with the present invention are positioned adjacent each other with their respective planar surfaces confrontingly opposite each other, their respective arcuate surfaces define a generally continuous cable routing path between the two adjacently positioned devices.

The electrical contact has a bifurcated end to engage and retain a wire and may be engaged with the strain relief cap. The cap fastens onto the clip once the retaining cams engage the notches and once the wire is aligned with the appropriate exit hole.

摘要： An economical protective shield assembly of a dielectric substrate and an EMI shield, substantially free of the effects of board coupling and air coupling which requires less hardware for securing an EMI shield than present devices and methods, is provided for. The inventions use of simply finished shield edges with an unimproved substrate having a conductive intermediary interconnected with a grounding path and simply finished or unfinished shield edges with an improved substrate having a mating groove cooperatively adapted to fit the shield edge, interacts to exclude EMI signals and requires less precision in positioning the shield onto the substrate. The invention also provides a simplified method to exclude EMI effects for an assembly by a process of fabrication requiring less finishing steps than present processes.
