    • Provided herewith a land grid array socket comprises an insulative housing having a plurality of contacts and a metallic reinforce plate positioned at a bottom surface of the housing. The insulative housing has a top surface for receiving a land grid array package. A cover member is pivotally mounted on a first end of the insulative housing. The cover member is pivotal between an open position and a closed position where the cover member presses the land grid array package toward the top surface of the insulative housing so that the land grid array package electrically connects to the contacts. A lever, with an operating rod, is pivotally mounted on a second end of the insulative housing and has a tilted shaft portion biasing against the second end thereof so as to create a self-biasing elastic force with respect to the reinforce plate so that the lever, when set to a locked position, moves pivotally in a horizontal direction due to the elastic force to tightly engage with a latch of the reinforce plate to assure locking between the lever and the reinforce plate.

    • A socket connector (10) comprises a base (20) defining a mounting surface (20a) and a substantially rectangular passage body (22). The passage body defines a rectangular array of passages (22b). A plurality of concavities (20d) is defined in the mounting surface. Each concavity is defined between two adjacent passages in a same row of the passages, and surrounded by four passages; two of the passages being in a same row as the concavity, and two of the passages being in a row adjacent said same row. With this configuration, the passage body of the base has a substantially uniform thickness at the mounting surface. Thus, after molding, the passage body is simultaneously cooled down at the mounting surface, to thereby prevent the passage body from warping during formation or heating of the base.

    • The vibration exciter system with a feedback control unit based on an optical linear encoder comprises a vibration exciter, a signal generator and a power amplifier. The exciter system further comprises an optical linear encoder converting the displacement of the moving component of the exciter into A/B pulse with a phase difference of 90°, a filtering, shaping and level translator unit converting the A/B pulse into standard pulse with standard shape and level, a subdivider and orientation recognizer unit refining the standard pulse and recognizing the moving orientation, an analog converter unit converting the refined standard pulse into analogue signal that reflects the displacement of the moving component. The standard signal outputted by the signal generator and the converted analogue signal are inputted into a subtracter as the minuend and subtrahend respectively. The output of the subtracter is inputted into the power amplifier and then into the vibration exciter as a driving signal. The present invention has a high precision.
