摘要： A liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof. The liquid crystal display includes a timing controller, a gate driver, a data driver and a liquid crystal panel. The timing controller stores a plurality of sets of gray level correction values, each set of gray level correction values corresponding to each gray level and generates corrected gray level data in response to input gray level data, the corrected gray level data reflecting the gray level correction values corresponding to the input of gray level data. The brightness of the corrected gray level data is time-averaged to be equal to brightness of the input gray level data.

摘要： The present invention provides a TFT array panel having a transmissive region and a reflective region. A transmissive electrode is disposed in the transmissive region. The first reflective electrode connected to the transmissive electrode is disposed on the reflective region. The second reflective electrode separated from the transmissive electrode and the first reflective region is formed in the reflective region. A first conductor is connected to at least one of the transmissive electrode and the first reflective electrode. A second conductor is connected to the second reflective electrode. 摘要： In a display apparatus, a common electrode receives a common voltage of which a voltage level is inverted at every H/2 period of 1H period during which pixels connected to one row are turned on. A first switching device outputs a first data voltage having a voltage level different from the common voltage during an earlier H/2 period, and a second switching device outputs a second data voltage having a polarity different from the first data voltage during a later H/2 period. First and second pixel electrodes receive the first and second data voltages from the first and second switching devices, respectively. Thus, a liquid crystal voltage applied to a liquid crystal layer increases, thereby improving a response speed of a liquid crystal and reducing a power consumption of the display apparatus.

摘要： An array substrate includes a gate line, a data line, a switching device, a transmissive electrode, a reflective electrode and a compensating wiring. A pixel region includes first and second regions. The switching device is connected to the gate line and the data line. The transmissive electrode is connected to the switching device. The transmissive electrode is formed in the first region. The reflective electrode is insulated from the transmissive electrode. The reflective electrode is formed in the second region that is adjacent to the first region. The compensating wiring is connected to the switching device. The compensating wiring faces the reflective electrode in the second region with an insulation layer interposed therebetween. Thus, both of a reflectivity of the reflective electrode and a transmissivity of the transmissive electrode are enhanced simultaneously, while the liquid crystal display apparatus maintains a uniform cell gap.
