    • A photographing light quantity controller for an endoscope, which is used to control the quantity of illuminating light when a photograph is to be taken through the endoscope. The photographing light quantity controller comprises a device for supplying light for illuminating an object to the endoscope, a device for detecting a quantity of light that is reflected from the object and for outputting a signal in accordance with the detected quantity of light, and a device for amplifying the signal, with the amplifying device having a plurality of amplification factors which can be selected as desired. A photographing light quantity control device is provided for controlling the quantity of illuminating light that is supplied to the endoscope when a photographing operation is conducted, on the basis of the output signal from the amplifying device. A device is also provided for automatically switching over the amplification factors of the amplifying device from one to another in accordance with the brightness of the object.

    • A parallelized power supply system including a plurality of switching power supplies each having a circuit for limiting rush current generated when a main switch is turned on. This system can be installed in an apparatus which requires the functions such as power uninterrupted operation and live wire insertion/dismount. Each switching power supply has another power supply for driving the rush current limiter circuit and a relay circuit for supplying relay driving current and making a connection of relay contacts after a predetermined time lapse after the operation start of the switching power supply. An a.c. power is supplied via the relay contacts to each switching power supply. The relay driving time set in the rush current limiter circuit is different for each switching power supply. Accordingly, concentration and excess of rush current when the relay is driven can be suppressed, and sparks at contact pins of a connector to be otherwise generated when the switching power supply is mounted on the connector, can be eliminated so that radiation noises and connector breakage can be avoided. Each of the switching power supplies connected in parallel has a current detecting resistor connected between the low voltage side of a load and the low voltage side of a voltage regulator d.c. output, and at least one operational amplifier for detecting a change in the d.c. output, the negative power supply terminal of the operational amplifier being connected to the current detecting resistor at its one end on the load side.

    • A catalyst component for olefin polymerization which comprises an intimate mixture of: Component (A1) which is a solid component for Ziegler catalysts comprising titanium, magnesium and a halogen as essential components in a particulate form; and Component (A2) which is a compound selected from the group consisting of inorganic oxides, inorganic carbonates, inorganic sulfates and physical or chemical mixtures thereof in a particulate form; wherein Component (A2) is employed in a weight ratio to Component (A1) from 0.001 to 0.5 and has an average particle diameter smaller than that of Component (A1). The catalyst component may be of a structure such that the particulate inorganic material, Component (A2), adhere to or cover particles of a solid component of a Ziegler catalyst, whereby fluidity of the Ziegler catalyst component is improved.
